HUGHEY, Mr. Tyrone - Age 44, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Heritage Manor. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Saturday October 23, 2010 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11 a.m. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Mr. Hughey will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8 p.m. Friday. Mr. Tyrone Hughey was born January 23, 1966. He attended the Flint Public Schools, where he was a very talented and gifted student. After graduating in 1984, Tyrone went on to become a professional model and later a Certified Chef, before retiring due to illness. He loved spending time with family, traveling, shopping and lifting people spirit with laughter. Mr. Tyrone Hughey leaves to cherish his memory: loving and devoted father, Carlon Hughey, Sr.; brothers, Wendell (Juanita) Arther and Carlon (Beverly) Hughey, Jr.; sisters, Ruth Arther, LaVerne Arther, Jacqueline (Charles) Brown, Carol Hughey and Regina (Madison) Hughey Wortham; nieces, Sonji (Bertram) Brown, Donielle Mitchner, Tomika (Chris) Allen, Kiata (Curtis) Tolbert, Tia McReynolds, Latoi Ware, Shatala Coleman, Nina Coleman, Lacey Hughey, JaNai Wortham, Torrie Wortham, Torrea Wortham, Clarissa Arther; nephews, Jerome Benjamin, Jr. Brian Ferguson, Kifaru Arther, Carlon Hughey III, Torrance Hughey, Donald Coleman II and Madison Wortham II; extended family members, sister-in-law, Nedra Hughey; brothers-in-law, Donald (Ramsey) Coleman, Kenneth Burns and Donald McReynolds; god-sister, Secmarica Turner and children, Duvarl Murdock (little “bro”) LaTrina Turner (Mookie, little “sis”) Cassandra (Pumpkin, little “sis”), (Bill) Harris; uncles and aunts, Lindsey and Luella Hughey, James Nelson Hughey, Don and Geraldine Coleman, aunt, Blanche Burns; special cousin, Nancy Fisher. Mr. Hughey was preceded in death by his loving and devoted mother, Geraldine Coleman Hughey; brothers, Isaac and Reginald Arther.
