Tricia Maynie

MAYNIE, Ms. Tricia - Age 41, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2005 in Flint, Michigan. Family hour 10:30AM Thursday, January 5, 2005 at Promise Tabernacle, 815 W. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11AM. Pastor Frederick Flowers, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30AM Thursday. Ms. Maynie will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Wednesday. Ms. Tricia Maynie was born on July 23, 1964 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Tyrone Arthur and Willa Lee Maynie. She confessed a hope in Christ in 1994 at Golden Leaf Missionary Baptist Church. Tricia graduated from Flint Northern High School "Class of 1982." She received her Bachelor of Social Work from Saginaw Valley State University in 1996. Tricia, referred to as Trish by those close to her, found enjoyment in helping others. In high school she was a "Candy Striper" nurse-in-training student. Her career history entailed social work and nursing aids jobs with New Paths, Inc., the Women's Shelter at the YWCA, Heritage Manor and a variety of nursing and group homes. Recently, she was a Group Member Specialist at Burger King Corporation and a state appointed caretaker of her uncle Louis Sullivan. In her leisure, she enjoyed all types of puzzles, board and video games, movies and reading. Her biggest source of pride and joy was her loving daughter Tanisha. Tricia was a sentimental person with a sweet nature and beautiful smile. Ms. Tricia Rene Maynie leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Tanisha Willa Maynie; parents, Tyrone and Willa Maynie; brother, Troy Sullivan, all of Flint; sister, Sarah Maynie of Southfield, MI; nieces, Keosha Brooks and Kianna Walker; special nephew, JaQuan Sullivan, all of Flint; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends including special friends, Henrietta (Retta) Brown, Ida Green, and Leroy Hill. Ms. Tricia Maynie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mrs. Jennie Sullivan, Mr. Johnnie Jones, Joshua and Sarah Maynie; and Uncle Spencer Maynie, Sr. The family would like to express special thanks to Sgt.
