CARLYSLE, Mr. Torrence Steven - Age 33, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Willowbrook Manor. Family hour 10:00 AM Friday, January 3, 2020 at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 1215 E. Downey Ave. with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Pastor Morris A. Collins Sr., officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00 AM Friday. Mr. Carlysle will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Thursday. Torrence Steven “Big T” Carlysle was born October 31, 1986 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Tracey and Tanya D. Carlysle. Torrence was a resident of Flint Twp., MI where he graduated from Flint Job Corps with trade skill of Professional Painter, he also attended Mott Community College and University of Phoenix. He was a member of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church. His hobbies and interests were playing and watching football (New England Patriots), bowling, video games, painting and artwork. Torrence Steven “Big T” Carlysle leaves to cherish his memory: parents, Tracey and Tanya D. Carlysle; grandmother, Shirley Carlysle of Flint Twp., MI; 2 sisters, Brittiany Carlysle of Monroe, LA and Brandy Carlysle of Burton, MI; brother, Brandon Carlysle; 2 nieces, MacKenzie Brown, both of Flint and Bria Johnson; 3 nephews, Jeremiah Carlysle, Zion Johnson, all of Monroe, LA and Jaxson Brown of Flint; 3 aunts, Linda Clarke Carlysle of Sanford, NC, Tonya Brown of Grand Blanc, MI and Tasha (Shamori) Wade of Flint; 3 uncles, Karl Carlysle of Hilo, HA, Bobby Carlysle of Kuwait and Tony Carlysle of Temple, TX; 6 cousins, Ashley Brown of Grand Blanc, MI, Keishaun, Kwame and Tahira Wade, all of Flint, Anyia Snowden and Bella Trannon of Grand Blanc, MI; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Ashley Brown (cousin), Sonya Long (god-mother) Paris Seldon (god-daughter), DeeLacee Seldon (bestie), Nancy Garrison (great-aunt), Jerry Ormond, Jordon Shealey, James Smith and Alan Cunningham (all childhood friends),Andre Garrison (cousin) and Felicia Able. Torrence was preceded in death by his grandparents, William L. Jr. & Erma Jean Brown, and Samuel Carlysle; great-grandparents, William L. Sr. & Mabel Brown, John & Georgia Orr, William & Mary Carlysle, John & Daisy Burnett; niece, Kaci Rae Brown.
