KEELS, Mr. Tony Ray - Age 68, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026 in Port Huron, MI. Family hour 10:30 AM Saturday, February 7, 2026 at United Outreach Ministries, 1249 Roosevelt Ave., with funeral service commencing at. 11:00 AM Evan. Sharon Stone, officiating. Interment Evergreen Cemetery, G-3415 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30 AM Saturday. Mr. Keels will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday. Tony Ray Keels, age 68, passed away on January 28, 2026. He was born February 5, 1957, in Flint, Michigan, the youngest of eight siblings, born to Robert and Irene (Taylor) Keels who raised him with strong values and faith. Tony was a proud graduate of Flint Northern High School. In his final years he resided in Port Huron, Michigan, where he continued to touch the lives of many. Tony worked for many years at Family Dollar, serving as a manager and helped open and lead multiple store locations. He was known for his strong work ethic, leadership, and willingness to help others succeed. He lovingly served as a caregiver to both parents for many years before their passing, a role he took on with patience, sacrifice, and deep love. A man of faith, Tony was deeply spiritual and loved worshiping the Lord. He was kind, friendly, and welcoming, with a personality that drew people in. Those who knew him well remember his stubborn streak just as fondly as his generosity and warmth. Tony believed in giving back and proudly volunteered his time with Harbor Impact in Port Huron, serving his community with compassion. In his quieter moments, Tony enjoyed watching sports, movies, reading, fishing and meeting new people. Above all, he cherished spending time with his beloved grandson Cameron. Tony was a devoted father and is survived by his 2 loving daughters ShaQuetta Keels of Houston, TX and Tonisha Keels of Flint, MI; sisters, Sharon (Michael) Stone of Grand Blanc, MI, and Dorothy Thomas of Fresno, CA; 3 grandchildren, DaRon White Jr, DarReon White of Houston, TX and Cameron Norris of Flint, MI; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special thanks to his brother in Christ Bill. Caring neighbors Sandy and Frank at Peru Village, Angie and friends at Crossroads and Harbor Impact Ministries in Port Huron. Mr. Keels was proceeded in death by his parents, Robert and Irene (Taylor) Keels; 5 brothers, Robert Chester Keels, Harold Keels, Jimmy Keels, Milon Keels and Elgin Keels. Tony Ray Keels will be remembered for his faith, kindness, and the love he shared with family, friends, and his community. He leaves behind a legacy of service, devotion, and genuine care for others. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
