SCOTT, Mr. Tommy Lee - Age 70, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Summerlin Hospital Medical Center-Las Vegas, NV. Family hour 1:30 PM Thursday, August 11, 2016 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM Rev. Thomas London officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 PM Thursday. Mr. Scott will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Wednesday. Mr. Tommy Lee Scott was born April 29, 1946 in Tyronza, Arkansas, the son of Johnny Scott and Georgia Bell Holiday. He resided in Flint and Saginaw, MI until relocating to Las Vegas, NV in 2011. Mr. Scott was a Deacon at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Saginaw for 12 years prior to relocating. He retired from Flint Metal Fabricating, a division of General Motors in 1997. Mr. Scott enjoyed playing the Harmonica, listening to the blues and reading the bible. He moved to Las Vegas after the death of his beloved wife, Margaret Coleman Scott of 26 years. Mr. Tommy Scott leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Tekisha Kennard of Las Vegas, NV; 2 sons, Jimmy (Stella-Roberts) Scott of Morton, MS and Tommy B. (Jaquandra-Jennings) Scott of Flint; grandchildren, Keon Stanley, U.S. Army, Fort Campbell, KY, Kamron Moore and Kalin Kennard of Las Vegas, NV, J’Dyn Ross and Taylah Scott of Flint, Jimmy Scott, Jr., Kadeem Scott, Grace Scott of Morton, MS, Chelsea Dinkins of Indianapolis, IN and Cassie Scott of Mt. Olive, MS; 4 sisters, Gladys Scott (Richard) Hill of Osceola, AK, Mitcheree Scott Johnson of Flint, Vera Jean Scott (William) Robinson of Osceola, AR, Levella Scott (John) Reeves of Osceola, AZ; 4 brothers, Leroy Scott of Osceola, AR, Bobby Ray (Teretha) Scott of Flint, Samuel (Ida Mae) Scott of Trinity, AL and Larry Scott of Flint; sisters-in-law, Delois Scott, Margie Scott and Venella Scott; a host of nieces and a host of nephews and many other relatives and friends. Mr. Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Scott and Georgia Bell Holiday; siblings, Johnny Scott, Jr., James Augustus “Pete” Scott and Jefferson Lee “Boy” Scott and Leroy Scott; brother-in-law, Steve Johnson.
