WILLIAMSON, Mr. Tommie Edgar - Age 82, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at his residence. Family hour 10 a.m. Thursday, April 16, 2015 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 10:30 a.m. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, G-4200 Bedford Rd., Holly, MI. Mr. Williamson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12 p.m. - 8 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. Tommie Edgar Williamson was born December 18, 1932 in Newton, MS., the son of Mr. & Mrs. Hattie and Estelle Williamson. He gave his life to God at St. Hill in Newton, MS. He graduated from Pilot High. For some time Tommie was a truck driver in Wauchula, FL. He has been a resident of Flint since 1985. Tommie loved gardening, being around his family and friends, watching baseball games and traveling to visit friends and family. He was a stern, soft spoken, man with a lot of love for everyone. He leaves to cherish his memory: ex-spouse, Mary Williamson; daughters, Thomasina (Joe) Brown, Dora Cook of Wauchula, FL, Marie Williamson of Jefferson City, MO; sons, Patrick Williamson and James Carpenter, both of Wauchula, FL; 8 step-children, Everlina, Archie, Brenda, Ronald, James, Douglas, Charlotte, Wanda, Amanda Hines in Kissimmee, FL, Wanda (Jerome) Kelly, Samantha (Raymond) Johnson, Jimmie (Barbara) Hudson, Paul Hudson, Isaac Hudson, Patricia Sampson, Cynthia Edelen, and Stanley (Shirley) Brown; grandchildren, Jamaine and Jasmine Peterman, Faith and Destiny Lara, of Jefferson City, MO and Lyrica Kelly; great-grandchildren, Jamaine Jr., Jamod, Kamoria, Jadia, Mia Peterman, Armani Wilkerson, and numerous step-great-grandchildren; nieces, Linda Holliday and Mona Williamson; nephews, Larry Powell, Larry Williamson, Ronald Williamson and J.C. Williamson Jr.; numerous cousins, special cousins, May Chapman, Lula Nelson, and Mary Chapman; sisters-in-law, Sheretha Outley, Yvonne, Aggie, and Leonna Corbit; brothers-in-law, Willie Outley, John, C.J., Larry, Mike, Joseph, and Timmie Corbit; a host of other relatives and friends including his caregiver James Thompson, neighbors Redbone and Joyce Byrd. Mr. Tommie Edgar Williamson was preceded in death by: daughter, Hattie Williamson; son, Alvin Williamson; parents, Mr. & Mrs. Hattie and Estelle Williamson; and grandparents.
