MAYFIELD, Mrs. Tiphanie Fayette - age 42, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 11 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Kingdom of Heaven Ministries, 2430 Dutcher St. with funeral service commencing at 12 p.m. Apostle Lonnie Brown officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Association, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Church 11 a.m. Thursday. Mrs. Mayfield will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. and may be viewed from 2 p.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday. Tiphanie Fayette Mayfield was born February 26, 1972 in Flint Michigan, the daughter of Authur Beavers and Alma Watson. She was a graduate of Beecher High School, “Class of 1990” and worked at McLaren Hospital as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA). She was happily married to husband Rockie Lane Mayfield, Jr. and was a proud and loving mother to her son Quavon Jamar Trawick. Mrs. Mayfield enjoyed attending her son’s sporting events, dancing, and watching her favorite soap opera, General Hospital. Mrs. Mayfield was an overachiever and will be remembered by her smile and many hairstyles. Mrs. Tiphanie Fayette Mayfield leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Rockie Lane Mayfield, Jr.; son, Quavon Jamar Trawick; step children, Darr Stallings, Morteus and Gabrielle Mayfield and Rockie Mayfield III, all of Flint; parents, Authur Beavers of Flint and Alma Watson of Maryland; grandparents, Earl (Rose) Watson, Sr. and Freddie Beavers, all of Flint, and Juanita Watson of Muskegon, MI; and great-grandmother, Frances “Big Mama” Dixon; 2 sisters, Tyoane (Omar) Simpson of Savanna, GA, and Sherry Blassingame; 2 brothers, Mario (Sunny) Watson and Berry Blassingame; in-laws, Rocky (Careamella) Mayfield, Sr., and Linda (James) Hill, all of Flint; 3 sisters-in-law, Vivian Caldwell, Shantel Nelson and Latasha Mayfield, all of Flint; 3 brothers-in-law, Frank (Shanese) McKee, Derek and Javarious Mayfield, all of Flint; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends including cousins, Tawanna Randle and Jayden Hall; and special friend, Cassandra Bowens. Mrs. Mayfield was preceded in death by grandfather, Jimmie Beavers. The family would like to express special thanks to Hurley Medical Center ICU staff and Emergency Room, McLaren Regional Medical Center staff, the Beecher Buccaneers family and the Kingdom of Heaven Ministries family.
