Mr. Timothy Redmond

REDMOND, Mr. Timothy - Age 66, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11: 00 AM, Rev. Roosevelt Brown, officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the Chapel 10:00 AM Wednesday. Mr. Redmond will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-8:00 PM Tuesday. Mr. Timothy Robert Redmond was born September 11, 1951 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Robert and Margaret Redmond. He was a resident of Flint and received Christ at an early age. Timothy was a member of Vernon Chapel AME Church. He also visited other churches seeking the word of God. Timothy graduated from Beecher High School and attended Mott Community College. He was a employee at Blackstone’s Men’s Clothing. Timothy enjoyed the refreshing taste of Pepsi Cola, reading, outdoor adventures and listening to music. He also enjoyed having intellectual conversations with people and most of all being with family. Timothy was a relaxing, mild mannered person. He never complained about the difficulties and struggles of life. Timothy fought a very strong fight of faith in the midst of his illness. He loved God with all of his heart and soul. Mr. Timothy Robert Redmond leaves to cherish his memory: 3 daughters, Antwainette, Paris and NaTashia Redmond; son, Timothy Redmond Jr.; 5 grandchildren, Kennedy Redmond, Taylor Pleasant, Timothy Redmond III, Brenden Redmond and Carter Redmond; 2 sisters, Wendy Poole and Pastor Sylvia (Dwayne) Jones; brother, Walter Redmond; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, many other relatives and friends. Mr. Redmond was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Margaret Redmond; siblings, Ronnie, Eric, Margaret “Jackie”, Gill Redmond and Barbara Buford. The family would like to express special thanks to Hurley Medical Center ICU staff and Rehabilitation staff, Monica Wilson, the Brookins family, the McClain family, siblings, Wendy, Sylvia, Walter, nieces, nephews and everyone for their thoughtfulness and prayers at this time.
