CHANEY, Mr. Timothy Brian - age 45, passed away Monday, June 9, 2014 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 16, 2014 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Min. Tommie Chaney officiating. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, 5175 E. Bristol Rd., Burton, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 a.m. Monday. Mr. Chaney will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Mr. Timothy Brian Chaney was born November 17, 1968 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Lonnie and Lillie (Moore) Chaney. Timothy was a lifelong resident of Flint. Tim attended Refuge Temple and was a former member of New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church and Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church. He loved dogs, music, cars, family, and talking and talking. Timothy attended Beecher Schools, Mott Community College and was a graduate of Michigan Career and Technical Institute of Plainwell, MI. Mr. Timothy Chaney departed this life on Monday, June 9th, 2014 at the age of 45. Mr. Timothy Brian Chaney leaves to cherish his memory: 6 daughters, JaQuna Chaney of Brownstown, MI, Tianna Chaney-Jackson of Eldorado, AR, Teosha, Temesha, Taj and Jayla Chaney, all of Flint; 2 sons, Timothy Chaney Jr. of Lansing, MI and Jaylen Chaney of Flint; 4 grandchildren, Elijahwon, Amina, Dejae, and Adyn; 3 sisters, Valerie Renee Quaker of McDonough, GA, Francine (Nelson) Mays of Detroit, MI and Veronica (Raphael) Welch of Flint; 4 nieces, Tiffini, Ciara, Tia and Variah; 2 nephews, Israel and Raphael; 9 aunts, Mattie Williams, Mary Alice Chaney, Rosemary Chaney, Edna Chaney and Essie Townsend all of Flint, Thelma King of Helena, AR, Marie Thompson of Stone Mountain, GA, Margaret Evans and Mary Moore both of Atlanta, GA; uncle, Edward (Josalind) Moore of Forest, MS; special friend, Tryphena Logan; and numerous relatives and friends. Mr. Chaney was preceded in death by: his parents, Lonnie and Lillie Chaney; grandparents, Milton and Pennie Chaney, and Atwood and Louella Moore.
