PEARSON, Mr. Thomas “TC”, Flint, Michigan, passed away, Saturday, April 30, 2011 at home surrounded by his loved ones. Mr. Thomas Pearson was born December 26, 1916 in Melvin, Alabama to Coleman and Hannah Pearson. Mr. Pearson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd, and may be viewed from 12-6 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2011 with Witness Service starting at 5:30 p.m. He will be laid to rest on May 7, 2011 in Mount Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery, 6800 Melvin Road, Gilbertown, AL 36908. Reverend Tim Pearson, Mount Moriah Church will officiate; and funeral services will commence at 12 noon, friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11:30 p.m. Thomas was employed and retired with 17 years of service from General Motors Pontiac Plant. Thomas was married to his devoted sweetheart Carrie for 67 years. He joined and was a faithful member of Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall, in Flint, Michigan. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. His favorite time of year was deer season. He loved watching hockey, telling stories, fast cars and traveling with family. Mr. Thomas Pearson is survived by his daughters: Yuvondra Pearson-Jackson and Barbara Pearson-Brown, both of Flint, Michigan; 15 grandchildren, MSG (Ret) Brenda Webber of Arizona, Dr. and Mrs. Michael (Arianne) Jackson of Iowa, Tracey Brown of Texas, Tonita Pearson, Veronica Brown, Gregory Jackson, Trochelle Young, all of Flint, Sandra Houston of Dallas, Kandaria Rolle of Atlanta, GA, Troy Pearson of Ypsilanti, MI, Jerrold Brown of Flint, Tony Pearson of California and Mr. and Mrs. Terrance (Veronica) Jackson of Washington, DC; 23 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; step-mother, Verma Pearson, 4 sisters, 4 brothers and a host of cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Mr. Pearson was preceded in death by his parents, Coleman and Hannah Pearson; loving wife, Carrie (Napier) Pearson; son, Thomas Pearson, Jr.; sister, Lorraine Reid; 2 brothers, Woodrow and Waymond Pearson. The family would like to express special thanks to his visiting physician Dr. Jose Paez and caring staff, the Reverence Tim Pearson and the Mount Moriah Baptist Church family for all the support and kindness extended to the family in our time of bereavement.
