Mrs. Theresa Odom

ODOM, Mrs. Theresa, age 55, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at her residence. Family hour 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Bountiful Love Ministries, 3432 W. Pasadena Ave., with funeral service commencing at 12 noon. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, G-5175 E. Bristol Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Church 11 a.m. Saturday. Mrs. Odom will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed 12 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2013 at Freedom Temple Church of God, 723 W. Pasadena Ave. Mrs. Theresa Jean (Williams) Odom was the 6th child born July 26, 1957 to Rosie Lee Wince & David Williams in Flint, Michigan. She attended Flint public schools graduating from Flint Northwestern High School, “Class of 1975.” Theresa was an employee at Fisher Body, a Division of General Motors from the mid 1970’s until her retirement in 1995. In 1998, Theresa met and married Michael D. Odom. She was a member of Freedom Temple Church of God in Christ. Theresa enjoyed life to the fullest and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family, children, and grandchildren. She loved music, convertibles, and ‘Betty Boop’. She had a kind heart and a giving spirit; she was concerned about others and their well-being even as she approached her last days. Theresa leaves in God’s care and to cherish her memory: husband, Michael D. Odom; 3 daughters, Juantoria Williams of Flushing, MI, Shavonda Rose Callaway of Pontiac, MI, and Cassia Callaway of Flint; son, Craig Callaway II of Flint; step-daughter, Ashley Odom; 6 grandchildren, Quinton Crosby, Theresa Williams, Savonna Ashonti Dion Arhin, Ajoa Rose Pepra Arhin, Noah Matthew Turner, Josiah Zion-Lee Turner; 3 step-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Lynda (Richard Triplett) Williams of Lancaster, CA, Norene Hopkins of McKinney, TX and Gloria Strozier of Flint; brother, Leon Williams of Flint; 9 nieces; 7 nephews; many cousins and other relatives and friends including, Brenda Patterson, Gloria Naylor, Sherry Shuman, Lisa Bykes and Denise Bullock. Mrs. Odom was preceded in death by mother, Rosie Lee Wince; father, David Williams; and brother, David Junior Williams. The family would like to express special thanks to Roshaun Marshall, Linda Williams, Norene Hopkins, Brenda Patterson, and to all family and friends who were there in our time of need.
