Mrs. Theresa T. Feaster

FEASTER, Mrs. Theresa - age 79, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Family hour 10 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Quinn Chapel AME Church, 2101 Lippincott Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10 a.m. Saturday. Mrs. Feaster will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., may be viewed on Saturday during the family hour only. Mother Theresa Thurerdene Feaster was born July 15, 1933 in Brinkley, Arkansas the daughter of James and Edith (Elmina) Nunn. Theresa accepted Jesus Christ at a young age while a member of St. Paul AME in Brinkley, Arkansas. She participated in the Choir and Sunday school. Theresa graduated from Marian Anderson High School in 1951. She went on to attend Arkansas AM&N in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, while there she met future husband, Herman L. Feaster. They were married January 27, 1952. Mother Feaster was member of Quinn Chapel AME for over 50 years. She shared her passion for God’s word in Bible Study and her voice in various Choirs. Mother Feaster was a retiree of General Motors AC Spark Plugs. She loved sewing, playing the piano and basketball. Mother Theresa T. Feaster leaves to cherish her memory: 2 daughters, Charlotte (Roger) Riddick of Louisville, KY; Angela (Mike) Tucker of Baton Rouge, LA; son, Lawrence El-Amin of New York, NY; grandchildren, Taii El-Amin of Lanham, MD, Abbas El-Amin of New York, NY, Eric Feaster, Jason Feaster, both of Flint, Roger Keith Riddick II, Aaron Riddick, both of Louisville, KY, Angel Tucker and Morgan Tucker, both of Baton Rouge, LA; 5 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Dorothy Benjamin of Fayetteville, NC, Edith Darlene Bryant of Chicago, IL and Shirley Feaster of Flint; brother, Gerald B. Nunn of San Diego, CA; 9 sisters-in-law, Eva (James) Nunn of Cedar Hill, TX, Carol (Gerald) Nunn of San Diego, CA, Geraldine (Stanley) Nunn of Marietta, GA, Laverne (William) Feaster of Little Rock, AR, Pauline (JT) Wallace, Lilliemae (DC) Green of Warren, AR, Lillian (John) Feaster and Geraldine (Herbert) Feaster, all of Flint, Glenda (Thomas) Feaster of Grand Blanc, MI; 6 brothers-in-law, John Feaster, Herbert Feaster, James Feaster, all of Flint, Thomas Feaster of Grand Blanc, MI, JT Wallace and David Green of Warren, AR. Mrs. Feaster was preceded in death by her son, Dr. Rodney L. Feaster D.D.S.; parents, James and Edith (Elmina) Nunn; brothers, James and Stanley Nunn; and sisters, Gladys Ray and Eudora McNeal. The family would like to express special thanks to the Quinn Chapel AME Church family, caregivers, Mrs. Norma Jared, Ms. Linda Anthony (sister Gloria) and Ms. Sandra Robinson.
