CHARLES, Mr. Thadford A., Jr. - Age 49, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2006 at his residence. Family hour 10AM Monday, April 17, 2006 at Greater Holy Temple Church of God In Christ, 6702 N. Dort Hwy., with funeral service commencing at 11AM. Bishop Roger L. Jones Sr., officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10AM Monday. Mr. Charles will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 9AM-3PM Sunday. Mr. Thadford A. Charles, Jr. was born May 26, 1956 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Thadford A. and Kattie Ruth Charles, Sr. He was a resident of Flint and a graduate of Flint Northern High School. Thadford was employed at Delta Lube as a Mig and Arc Wedler, until his disability. He loved listening to music and cooking. Thadford was a hardworker, with his mothers smile. He enjoyed life and collecting interesting items to always exhibit, but most of all he had such a love for life, that there was never a boring moment while he was around. Mr. Thadford A. Charles, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory: children, Francell and Frederick Charles, both of Grand Rapids, MI, and Thadford A. Charles III of Flint; 4 step-children, Andre Jones of Grand Rapids, MI, Christopher, Jaquetta and Adam Sanders, all of Flint; 2 grandchildren, Brionna Cook and Xayvion Jones, both of Grand Rapids, MI; parents, Thadford A. and Kattie Ruth Charles, Sr.; sisters, Patricia Wilson and Saline Malloy, both of Ann Arbor, MI, Kathy Charles (Danny Ishmon), Tequita and Janerio Malloy, all of Flint; brother, Larry Charles (LaShanda Carr) of Mt. Morris, MI; nieces, Brandie and Larrianda Charles, Quinarah Malloy and Dionne Suggs, all of Flint; nephews, Dashawn (Amanda) Charles of Grand Blanc, MI, Sgt. Antanee Charles of Radcliff, KY, and Lawrence Charles of Flint; aunts, Alice Robinson of Chicago, IL, Verla Brown of Pine Bluff, AR, and Juanita Charles of St. Louis, MI; and uncle, Leroy (Gertrude) Charles of West Helena, AR; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends including girlfriend, Cynthia Sanders; and ex-wife, Barbara Charles. Mr. Thadford A. Charles, Jr. was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Susie Mae Tyson and Van Edwards; paternal grandparents, T.C. and Irene Charles; uncle, Obie Charles; great-grandfather-in-law, Samuel Perry; and nephew-in-law, Jimmie Lee.
