TYLER, Ms. Terry Latricia - Age 68, passed away Friday, September 5, 2025, at her residence. Family hour 1:30 PM Friday, September 19, 2025, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 PM Friday. Ms. Tyler will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM Thursday, September 18, 2025.Terry Latricia Tyler was born May 17, 1957, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Bartow and Catherine Tyler. Terry was a resident of Flint and a long-time member of New Jerusalem and Elizer Church. She attended Flint Northwestern High School. Terry retired from General Motors Corporation. She loved to spend time with her family and close friends, spending most of her time with her boys, Antwaun and Langston. Terry also loved to dance and listen to music. She would give you the shirt off her back, no questions asked! She enjoyed going to church until her illness, which then turned to church service on TV! Still sowing seeds until the very end. Famiy time, cards, food, love and laughter while talking cash trash. Meanwhile trying to keep up with her Bilal and Joshua as well as talking to her Khalil and the twins. Terry also enjoyed talking on the phone with her cousin, Cathy Ann and friends. Terry Latricia Tyler leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Tomika Tyler; 2 sons, Antwaun Tyler and Langston Tyler; grandchildren, Bilal Sims-Tyler, Joshua Sims, Kahleel (Katie) Sims-Tyler of Cartersville, GA, Qeturah Sims, Sheturah Sims, both of Smyrna, GA, Bianca Rumor, Destiny Rumo, both of Tennessee, and Dishon Honer; great-grandchildren, Jesiah Eckers of Smyrna, GA, Aria Johnson, Kahleel Sims-Tyler Jr. and Esther Sims-Tyler, all of Cartersville, GA; sister, Sharon Kirkland; 2 brothers, Michael (Nora) Tyler and Terrence (Mary) Tyler; nieces, Tammara Owens, Natori Drake, Sharea (Demond) Cobb, Shakeeta Kirkland, Shanika Owens, Tajala Owens and Koneisha Harvey; nephews, Feronda (Dajanna) Smith, Terrence (Laquana) Overton, Keon Lard, Terrence Lard and Charles (Tweety) Owens; aunt, Attie Ruth Jackson of Bainbridge, GA; uncle, Mitchel Cox of Jacksonville, FL; a host of other relatives and friends including special nieces, Tori Drake, Tawaina Kirkland, and Sherea Cobb; special nephews, Charles Owens, Terrence Overton, and Marquavis Overton; special cousin, Cathy Ann (Corneilus) Woodard; and special friends, Terry Jones and Joyce Leach. Mrs. Tyler was preceded in death by her parents, Bartow and Catherine Tyler; sisters, Sharone Kirkland and Kimmie Tyler; brothers, Ferando Tyler and Bartow Tyler Jr.; nephews, Joe Kirkland Jr. (Jody), Brandon Tyler and Michael Causey.
