DRUMMOND-HOEY, Ms. Terry Janice - Age 65, received her wings and transitioned from this life on Monday, February 20, 2017 at MediLodge Nursing Home in Southfield, MI. Family hour 1:30 PM Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM Pastor Paul H. Musson officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 PM Wednesday. Mrs. Hoey will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Tuesday. Ms. Terry Jancie Hoey was born June 16, 1951 in Flint, Michigan to parents Iverson and Theresa Drummond. She resided in Flint, Michigan and attended her high school years at Central High School. Terry gained employment at Grand Blanc Metal Fabrication, a division of General Motors where she retired in 2005. She attended 7th Day Adventist Church where she was a long-time member. Terry loved being with her family talking, cooking and laughing. She was a passionate about helping children. She loved shopping, casinos and cooking and having fun. When you visited her home, she was sure to have a great meal prepared in a warm inviting atmosphere. Terry also known as “Moma” was caring and affectionate. “Moma” loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor! She was a vigorous woman. “Moma” was loved and will be sadly be missed by her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren all who loved her. Ms. Terry Janice Drummond-Hoey leaves to mourn her passing: 3 daughters: Theresa Wolfe of Savannah, TX, Chewana Anowi of Bloomfield Hills, MI, and Nicole Paula-Dacosta of Springfield, MS; 4 grandchildren, Marcus Drummond of Denton, TX, Keith Polite of Savannah, TX, Brittany Andrews of Bloomfield Hills, MI, Timothy Juvon Wolfe of Savannah, TX, Cyrus Jacob Mpeba of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan; 4 great-grandchildren, Jaela Polite of Burton, MI, Keith Polite Jr. of Burton, MI, Tasia Drummond of Minneapolis, MN, Kayla Polite of Dallas, TX; 2 sisters, Lisa (Samuel) Lee of Grand Blanc, MI and Kimberly Davis of Flint, Michigan; 4 brothers, Iverson (Bennita) Drummond of Flint, MI, Loren Drummond of Detroit, MI, Roy Haney of Flint, MI and Kevin Haney of Mount Morris, MI; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Ms. Hoey was preceded in death by her parents, Theresa Cousins and Iverson Drummond; grandparents, Frank and Estelle Hunter; sisters, Linda Edwards, Karen Harris and Yvonne Cargo; aunt, Velma (Ruth) Wells; uncle, Frank Hunter Jr.; cousins, Lester Wells and Bobby Wells; nieces, Tamiko Harris and Shreatha Webster; nephew, Jamar Lee and great nephew, Isaiah Williams.
