MILLER, Ms. Terri - Age 54, passed away Friday, March 9, 2012 at her residence. Family hour 10:30AM, Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 2109 ML King Ave., with funeral service commencing at 11:00AM. Pastor Rodney Ellison officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30AM Saturday. Ms. Terri will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8:00PM Friday. Ms. Terri Tonette Miller was born on February 18, 1958 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Gilbert and Joyce Miller. Terri at age 54; even though she would tell you 45, without a blink of an eye. She went to her true home to join her Savior March 9, 2012. Terri was a joyful Christian who loved her daughter, Tyya fiercely. She was her true pride and joy. Terri was a proud “Wildcat,” who graduated from Northwestern High School in 1976. She was a cheerleader and was active in various school activities. Terri loved to sing and dance, she was a member of McCree Theater and participated in Plays and Dance Recitals. Terri had modeled with a local troupe for many years. She was well known for her fashion sense. Terri was employed by General Motors for 15 years. Ms. Terri T. Miller leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Tyya Miller; mother, Joyce Miller; father, Gilbert Miller; grandmother, Gertie Wright; sisters, Vicki Miller and Dawana Miller, along with 4 others; 2 brothers including special brother, Gilbert (Ramona) Miller; 2 aunts, Barbara Johnson and Donnice (AJ) Williams; 2 uncles, Kenneth (Sue) Wright and Elvin Jr.; a host of nieces and nephews including 3 special nieces, Malasia, Cabera and especially Tinika Day; extra special cousin who was also like a daughter, Chantel Clemons. Ms. Terri was preceded in death by her grandfather, Elvin Wright, Sr. Terri loved her family dearly and was extremely close and will be severely missed by all of her family and extremely close cousins. The family would like to express special thanks to her best friend since the 4th grade, Sandy Neal.
