CROSS, Ms. Terri L. - Age 51, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Avalon Hospice. Family hour 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2011 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 2 p.m. Rev. Cynthia Nelson officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 p.m. Monday. Ms. Cross will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. Mrs. Terri Lynn Cross was born March 12, 1959 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Rev. Letha McCray and the late Allen E. Cross, Sr. Terri received her formal education with the Pontiac Public Education System. She was a lifelong member of the Universal Hagar Spiritual Church #10 in Flint, under the leadership of her mother Rev. Letha McCray. Terri was an active member serving on the Mothers Board, the School of Medium Ship and Physiology and Hagar’s Young People Drill Team. A diligent worker of the church. Terri was a great humanitarian. She was always helping neighbors and friends, always showing compassion for the elderly. Often extending her many talents to other by way of her cooking, sewing or being just Terri; which meant lending a helping hand wherever she could. Mrs. Terri Lynn Cross leaves to cherish her memory: her loving and devoted only son, Isaiah Cross of Columbus, OH; loving mother, Rev. Letha McCray of Flint; 2 brothers, Allen E. (Diana) Cross, Jr. of Pontiac, MI and Kevin T. (Alvida) Cross of Flint; 4 sisters, Lisa A. (John) Thomas of Pontiac, MI, Jane L. (Gregory) Keyes of Flint, Kathy (Lee) Walton of Monticello, AR and LaNita (Eddie) Herrington of Romulus, MI; 22 nieces and nephews including special nieces, Letitia and Raynia; 5 uncles, Rev. L. (Cecilia) Moore of Detroit, MI, Charles (Octavia) Cross of Pontiac, MI, Herb Thomas of Dayton, OH and Herman Banks of Milwaukee, WI; 2 aunts, Evalie Rogers and Helen (John) Hughes, both of Milwaukee, WI; lifelong confidants, Michelle Osby and Rev. Gary Pumphrey of Detroit, MI, Herbert Harrison of Gary, IN, Walter Stevenson of Pontiac, MI, the Nelson and Hollis Families of Pontiac, MI and a host of other family and friends.
