SWILLEY, Mr. Terrance Darnell - Age 59, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025 at his residence. Family hour 10:00 AM Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Bethlehem Temple Church of the Apostolic Faith, 3401 Dr. Martin L. King Ave., with funeral service commencing at 10:30 AM. Pastor Phillip J. Thompson, officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy., Mt. Morris, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00 AM Saturday. Mr. Swilley will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed Friday, May 9, 2025 from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Terrance Darnell Swilley was born February 10, 1966 in Flint, Michigan. He was the second youngest son born to RD Swilley and Sarah Rich Swilley. Terrance was educated in the Flint Community Schools and Mt. Morris Schools graduating from Elizabeth Ann Johnson (EAJ) High School in Mt. Morris, Michigan. He was a Power Weight Lifter in high school. Terrance grew up on the farm in Mt. Morris. He worked at Ponderosa in high school. Terrance also worked as a Welder at Gordon Engineering and he was a Union Steward and Machine Operator at Carpenter Enterprise. Terrance loved muscle cars, and drag racing. He owned several Trans Ams. Terrance loved going to auto shows. He loved sports, hunting, fishing, basketball and football. Terrance was a body builder until his accident. He loved to cook and eat. Terrance was an excellent care giver to his parents when they became ill. He doted on his nieces and nephews, spoiling them all. Terrance was very unselfish, always giving and willing to help others. He was never confrontational and he never complained. Terrance was a kind and compassionate man respected by all who would come in contact with him. On May 1, 2025 our Lord and Savior saw fit to call him from labor to reward. Terrance leaves to cherish his love, laughter and precious memories: his brother and sisters; Reynold (Theresa) Swilley, Kimberly (Jeffery) Manley, Andre Swilley, Derek (Lisa) Swilley, Clarissa Swilley Green and Demetrius Swilley; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; aunts, Ebbie Alford, Octavia Lacy and Darlene Rich; uncle, Bishop Joe (Shandra) Swilley; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, George Watson, Carl Smith, Rodney Whithead and Chad Lundy. Terrance was preceded in death by his son, Terrance Darnell Swilley II; parents, RD and Sarah Swilley; brother, Jerry Bickham; and grandparents. Special thanks are extended to Pastor Philip Thompson and the Bethlehem Temple Church family, Pastor Theron Wiggins and the Bethel Church family, Laura Legardye, Andre Strater, Trisha McCann, McLaren Home Care and a special thank you to all of the siblings for their loving care.
