WRIGHT, Mr. Telly Stefan Berry - Age 47, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023 at his residence. Family Hour 1:30 PM Thursday, June 15, 2023 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM, Bishop Robert Underwood, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the chapel 1:30 PM Thursday. Mr. Wright will lie in state in the chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Wednesday. Mr. Telly Stefan Berry Wright I was born July 7, 1975 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Velma W. Wright and Sammy J. Berry. Telly was a resident of Flint and grew up in Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church and also attended Bethel Pine Baptist Church in Livingston AL. He was a Mother’s Boy and protector of the family and others more than himself. Telly attended Flint Public Schools and was a member of Flint Central High School Choir and performed with the Michigan State Choir under the late Mr. Harrison McGhee. He received his GED from Cleveland Job Corps. Since childhood he has been a loving, kindhearted person. Telly loved singing, playing video games, billiards, an exceptional handyman, cards and being with his special friends. He enjoyed remote control cars, hot wheels and being on his tablet. Telly loved his children and grandchildren dearly. He had many home improvement and landscaping talents. Telly confessed hope in Christ at an early age. He loved Sam Cooke Gospel, he said it made him feel like he was in heaven already. Telly always had the desire to live closer to his children and grandchildren. Mr. Telly Stefan Berry Wright I leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Telisha Wright; son, Telly Wright II; grandchildren, Aiden Stefan Crosby and Aaliya Renee Crosby, all of Elgin, IL; parents, Velma W. Wright and Sammy J. Berry; 2 sisters, Carla Wright-Jenkins and Crystal Renee Jones, all of Flint; brother, Marvin W. Wright of Alabama; 2 nieces, Ayona E. Jones (special) of Flint and Chalyn Wright of Georgia; 8 nephews, Marvin Wright, Jerry Goodlow, James Mitchell (all special), Geontee Wright, Anfernee Tyler, Deondre Alexander, Earnest Pierce and Rayshaun Wright; a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Bryant, Shawn, Torrey, Preston and Norman. Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his grandparents, Brister and Prudie Waiters; aunts, Aretha Wright and Ida Coleman; uncle, Eugene Waiters.
