HUMPHRIES, Ms. Tawana - Age 31, passed away Friday, July 31, 2009 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Family hour 1:30PM Thursday, August 6, 2009 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 2PM. Rev. Allen Overton officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy., Mt. Morris, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30PM Thursday. Ms. Humphries will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 1:30PM-2PM during family hour only on Thursday. Ms. Tawana Farchett Humphries “T.T”, age 31 was born on September 27, 1977 in Flint Michigan, parents, Sylvester and Gwinder Lang, father, Ben E. Humphries. She was a resident of Flint her entire life. Tawana was a graduate of Beecher High School, “Class of 1995”. Ms. Humphries attended Mott Community College. She was formerly employed with The Mineus Corporation in Flint, and On-star Inc. in Troy MI. Tawana loved life. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, traveling and talking with her friends and family. Tawana leaves to cherish her memories: parents, Sylvester and Gwinder Lang; father, Ben E. Humphries; 2 sisters, Gwenetta Humphries of Flint, and Kani Humphries of Chicago, IL; 2 brothers, Eugene (Kenya) Humphries of Swartz Creek, MI, Darell Humphries of New York; step-sisters, Lisa and Lakisha Lang; step-brother, Brandon Lang; grandmother, Lovie M. Evans; 2 nieces, Taquoria and Amari Humphries of Leland MS; nephew, Taquavius Humphries; special aunts, Patricia Tingle of Flint, Ossie Qureeb of Flushing, Linda Patrick of Flint; aunts, Mary Humphries and Betty Keys, both of Flint, Doris and Dorothy Humphries of Leland, MS; special uncle, George Evans of Flint; 6 uncles, Willies Humphries of IL, Lugene and Hurmon Humphries of NC, Clenton Humphries of MS, James Humphries of Mt .Morris, MI, David Humphries of LA; special friends, Daniell Speight, Jalvin Walker, the Mann's Family and a host of other relatives and friends. Ms. Tawana Farchett Humphries was preceded in death by: 3 grandfathers, Mr. Jarrett T. Evans, Mr. Lugene Humphries, Mr. George Wesley; 2 grandmothers, Mrs. Willie M. Humphries, Mrs. Maude Evans; 2 aunts, Denise Evans and Mattie Humphries; 2 uncles, Thomas A. Evans and Walter Humphries.
