Mrs. Tarean Shareese Anthony-Jones

JONES-ANTHONY, Mrs. Tarean Shareese - Age 47, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30 AM Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 2109 M.L. King Blvd., with service commencing at 11:00 AM Pastor Rodney Ellison. officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30 AM Saturday. Mrs. Anthony-Jones will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday. Mrs. Tarean Shareese Anthony-Jones was born June 28, 1975, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Patricia Anthony and Carlos Moore. Tarean was married to her husband Tevya Jones May 24, 2003. From a very young age, Tarean knew that she wanted to help others. She studied at Baker College for Nursing and then she decided to pursue her career in Education. Tarean started as a School Secretary and then worked her way up into becoming a Teacher who impacted a lot of lives. She worked at schools such as Linden Charter Academy, Academy of Flint, and The New Standard Academy. Tarean loved and cherished her family along with her students. Not only was she a mentor, but Mrs. Tarean Anthony-Jones was also a friend, sister, and mother to those who needed it. She often took in many kids and made sure to keep them on a straight path. Tarean was adamant on making sure that her family, friends, and students knew how much she cared for and loved them. She gave great advice and suggestions. She had a light around her that made people gravitate towards her. Tarean was loved and cherished by many. She was a wonderful, caring, and loving person who shared her love for everyone. Tarean was a beloved member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Flint. She sang with the Voices Choir as an Alto and Tenor. She was also a member of United Faith Christian Church where she taught bible study, sung on the praise team, and directed the youth choir. She also shared her love of GOD and music by singing on the praise team at Kingdom Life Ministries. Mrs. Tarean Shareese Anthony-Jones leaves to cherish her loving memory: 3 daughters, Yhontrice Anthony, ZyShan Anthony-Jones and Tavaria Anthony-Jones; son, Tahmaan Anthony; 3 step-children; grandchildren, Zurielle Gerace and Dre Harrison; mother, Patricia Anthony (Hutch); sister, Jessica Anthony; nephew, Teress Anthony; aunt, Linda Anthony; uncle, Herman Anthony (Stephanie) and Micheal Anthony; mother-in-law, Brenda Jones; sister and brother-in-law; 2 great-nephews and a great niece; along with a host of cousins and friends. Mrs. Anthony-Jones was preceded in death by her grand-parents, Rosie and Earnest Anthony Sr.; uncles, Leon, Earnest Jr. and Fred Anthony. The family would like to express a very special thanks to Tony Floyd of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, McClaren Hospice Nurses also Hurley ER, ICU and CCU staff.
