McNEAL, Ms. Symphani Chanel - Age 25, passed away Monday, August 31, 2015 at Carle Foundation Hospital - Urbana, IL. Family hour 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2015 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. with funeral service commencing at 2 p.m. Pastor Kenneth Boykins officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Ms. McNeal will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12 p.m.-8 p.m. Friday. Ms. Symphani Chanel McNeal was born December 26, 1989 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of William and Kim McNeal. Symphani was a resident of Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Flint Southwestern Academy, “Class of 2008”. Symphani received an Associate of Business Degree in Marketing from Baker College in 2011. Her past employment included Big John’s and Walmart in Grand Blanc. She was also owner of “Symphani Sweets” which includes “Flavor Me Dope” and “Color Me Dope”. Her hobbies and interests included Symphani.com, reading, writing poetry, baking, cooking, blogging, traveling and music. Symphani was a determined, loyal, intelligent, ambitious, beautiful young lady who was motivated, spiritual and had an old soul wise beyond her years. She was also creative, kind, compassionate, loving and strong. Symphani loved and was loved by so many. Ms. Symphani Chanel McNeal leaves to cherish her memory: parents, William McNeal and Kim McNeal; great-grandmother, Ludie Yarbrough of Flint; 3 sisters, Ashanti McNeal of Big Rapids, MI, Sioni McNeal and Ky-Mani McNeal, both of Flint; brother, DeAnte’ Wiley of Flint; aunt, Beatrice Benson; 4 uncles, Joe (Barbara) Brown, Gerald Benson, Patrick (Gloria) McNeal and Larry Turner; numerous cousins including special cousin, Jamareon Mason; a host of other relatives and friends. Ms. McNeal was preceded in death by her grandparents, (maternal) Albert and Melbia Benson, (paternal) William and Dorothy McNeal; uncle, Timothy Benson; aunts, Ann Gibson, Janice Turner, Doris McNeal and Carolyn White.
