ANTHONY, Sis. Susie B. - Age 69, After completing her life's task she went to eternal rest on Friday, August 18, 2006 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10AM Saturday, August 26, 2006 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 1083 E. Stewart, with funeral service commencing at 11AM. Pastor Lewis Randolph officiating. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, G-5175 E. Bristol Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10AM Saturday. Sis. Anthony will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Friday. Mrs. Susie B. Anthony was born May 24, 1937 in Brooksville, Mississippi. Susie was the oldest daughter of Eddie Griffin and Della Mae Thompson. She accepted Christ at an early age. In 1953, she and her husband, Mathew, moved to Flint and united with Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. She was employed with General Motors, Flint Assembly for 16 years as an assembler. Susie graduated from Flint Southwestern High School. Sister Anthony was a devoted mother and wife. She loved her family, friends, community and church. Sister Anthony leaves to cherish sweet memories: 1 son, Matthew (Bud) (Vester) Anthony, Jr.; 3 daughters, Regina Bush, Jeanette (Larry) Wiley of Flint, and Sharlet Anthony of Saginaw; 1 daughter-in-law, Emma L. Anthony of Flint; 25 grandchildren; 5 great grand children; 4 sisters, JeaneAnn Griffin of Chicago, Illinois, Melinda (Sammie) McShan of Columbus, Mississippi and Minnie Lee (JT) Malone of Crawford, Mississippi; 6 brothers, Henry Griffin, Sammie (Linda) Ball, Billy (Nellie) Griffin, Henry Griffin all of Columbus, Mississippi, Johnny Mack Ball of Muskegon, MI and Eddie Griffin, Jr. of Washington; in-laws, George (Louise) Anthony, Bertha Anthony, Jeffery Blount, Mary Cox, Josephine (Sam) Blake and Louise Anthony all of Flint, and Frances Hill of Crawford, Mississippi; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Sister Anthony was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Mathew D. Anthony; son, James Anthony; father, Eddie Griffin; mother, Della Mae Thompson; step-mother, Classie Griffin; sister, Lula Turner; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mose and Josephine Anthony; brother, George Griffin; brothers-in-law, Arthur Lowry and Louis Anthony; son-in-law, Willie Bush; sisters-in-law, Sarah Bailey, Adele Hill; and great granddaughter, Crystal Rett-Henry. The family expresses thanks and appreciation to Pastor Lewis Randolph and the Antioch Church family, Pastor Urundi Knox and the Ebenezer Church Ministries, Pastor Martez Warren and the Church Without Walls family, Reverend Alfanzo (Dazarine) Howard, Reverend Jeanette Lenoir, Reverend Johnson.
