Stella Gosha

GOSHA, Mrs. Stella - Age 70, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at Fenton Extended Care in Fenton, MI. Family hour 10AM Saturday, April 26, 2008 at Bethlehem Temple Church of the Apostolic Faith, 3401 M.L. King Ave., with funeral service commencing at 11AM, Eld. Phillip J. Thompson officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10AM Saturday. Mrs. Gosha will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Friday. Mrs. Stella Mae Gosha was born and grew up in Wilkinson, Mississippi to Fannie and Shelby Davis. Upon moving to Flint, she married Charlie Gosha on July 7, 1965. Stella worked as a Security Guard at Flint General Hospital for several years and an Avon Consultant. Stella was a former member of Morning Star Baptist Church. In 1973 she was baptized in Jesus name and received the gift of the Holy Ghost at Bethlehem Temple Apostolic Church, where she was a member until her demise. Stella loved the Lord and it was evident in her lifestyle. She was a faithful servant and loved singing in the choir, she helped organized the yearly Pastor's Picnic, worked with the Sunday School Dept. and more until her health began to fail. Surving are: devoted husband of 42 years, Charlie Gosha; mother, Fannie Davis; daughter-in-law, Annie Lee Carlisle of Franklin, TN; sister-in-law, Minnie Wicks of Troy, MI; stepson, Larry Gosha of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Jerry C. (Gwen) Carlisle, Jr. of Woodstock, GA, Duane T. (Camina) Carlisle of Hampton, GA, Bernard C. (Michelle) Carlisle of Smyrna, TN and Eric Gosha of Birmingham, AL; 8 great grandchildren; spiritual children, Garrett (Marilyn) Brown, Joel (Sheila) House, Ronald, Raymond and Edward Moore, Seldon Williams III; dear friend, Evangelist Beverly Moore; a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to express special thanks to Bethlehem Temple Apostolic Church family, caregivers, Betty Bandon, Meredith McGee, Tina Smith, Vickie Newman, Susan Watts and Marilyn Brown, Fenton Health Care Facility, Hartland Hospice, Cecilia Williams-Social Worker and Doctor Fleetwood. Mrs. Gosha was preceded in death by her father, Shelby Davis; son, Jerry C. Carlisle, Sr. and step-daughter, Lethann Gosha.
