McDowell, Mr. Stacy Montize Sr. - Age 49, passed away Monday, May 5, 2025 at his residence. Family hour 10:00 AM Monday, May 19, 2025 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, 4413 Flushing Rd., Flint, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the chapel 11:00 AM Monday, May 19, 2025. Mr. McDowell will lie in state in the chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 10:00AM-3:00PM. Stacy Montize McDowell, Sr. was born October 15, 1975 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Pearlene Drake and Chester Causey. Stacy attended Flint Public Schools was an entrepreneur with many titles author, inventor, lawn care service, sales, newspaper delivery, volunteer, distributing water and care taker for the elderly. His interest was putting a smile on ones face and laughter. Stacy collected vintage cars and toys and enjoyed cook outs and spending quality time with family and friends. If there was a need you could always count on Stacy lending a helping hand. He was employed with Great Lake Civil Servers. Stacy Montize McDowell, Sr. leaves to cherish his memory: son, Jayvion M. McDowell of Detroit, MI; parents, Pearlene McDowell-Drake and Chester Laurence Causey; step-mother, Mildred Ann Causey; siblings, Tiffany Drake, Patrick Drake and Kewan Cooper; nieces, Makenzie Lewis of, all of Flint, MI and Daeja Drake of Tennessee; nephews, Jaykel Drake of Jacksonville, FL; aunts, Jeanette Sapp, Gwendolyn Marie Fields, Charlene A. Causey, Joyce Malone and Bertha Louise Causey; uncles, Charles Bernard Causey and James Allen Causey; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Toya Butler, Charles Lewis, Donte Robertson, Leroy Miller, Steve Hollingsworth and Emmet Robertson. Stacy was preceded in death by his son, Stacy Montize McDowell, Jr.; grandparents, James Allen and Rachel Causey, Mr. and Mrs. Norman and Annbee McDowell, Sr.; uncles and aunts, Norman McDowell, Jr., Larry McDowell, Melvin McDowell, Gregory McDowell, Earlene Elliott, Josephus and Eugene Williams, Thomas M Causey, Celia Brunette Demps.The family would like to express special thanks to Latoya Butler, Clee Cooper and Yolanda Dailey.
