CARROLL, Sis. Joe Ann - Age 48, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2006 at Genesys Hospice in Goodrich, MI. Family hour 1:30PM Wednesday, June 14, 2006 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 2PM. Pastor Kelly Richardson, officiating. Sis. Carroll will then be taken to Henson Mortuary, 3804 West 14th Street, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71603, (870) 535-0635. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 1:30PM Wednesday. Sis. Carroll will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Tuesday. Sis. Joe Ann Carroll was born on November 5, 1957 in Pine Bluff, AR, the daughter of Robert and Lillie M. Carroll. She confessed a hope in Christ in 1970 at New Hope Baptist Church in Altheimer, AR, and joined First Baptist Church in Sherrill, AR, under the leadership of Pastor A.L. Patterson. She later moved to Flint and joined the Grace Cathedral Community Church under Pastor Kelly Richards. Sis. Carroll attended Altheimer High School, graduating in 1977. Joe Ann loved fishing, watching T.V. game shows, and visiting with her family and friends. Sis. Joe Ann Carroll leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Keyla Carroll of Flint; son, Dejuane Carroll of Flint; granddaughter, Skyysha Carroll of Flint; mother, Lillie M. Carroll of Pine Bluff, AR; grandmothers, Emma Pickens of Pine Bluff, AR, Joella Holmes of St. Louis, MS; 6 sisters, Lora Hall, Linda Harris both of Flint, Dorothy (Henry) Wright of Oakland, CA, Oretha (Oscar) Riggins of Humble, TX, Coretha (Edward) Spears of Wabbaseka, AR, Gail Lang of Pine Bluff, AR; 6 brothers, Earl (Vicky) Carroll of Flint, Robert (Merlene) Carroll of Altheimer, AR, Willie (Joyce) Carroll of Lake Village, AR, Leon (Shirley) Carroll, Cleon (Debra) Carroll, Curl Lee Carroll all of Pine Bluff, AR; aunts, Doris Holmes of Altheimer, AR, Elizabeth Carroll of Pine Bluff, AR, Luvercy Pitts of Flint, Bobby Brook of Compton, CA; 3 uncles, Columbus Holmes of Altheimer, AR, Clayborn Carroll of Pine Bluff, AR, James Brooks of Compton, CA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including special friend of 30 years, Lesly Harris and sister, Rose Harris. Sis. Joe Ann Carroll was preceded in death by father, Robert A. Carroll; 2 brothers-in-law, Johnny L. Harris, Charles W. Hall.
