NORRIS-BELL, Mrs. Shirley Jean (Perry) - Age 72, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021, at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 10:00 Friday, November 19, 2021, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 10:30 AM Pastor Chad Galloway, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 AM Friday. Mrs. Norris-Bell will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Thursday. Mrs. Shirley Jean (Perry) Norris-Bell was born September 4, 1949, in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of Mildred Walker and Emerson Perry Sr. She moved to Flint, Michigan with her mother and siblings. Shirley attended Flint Community Schools where she went on to meet her first husband and from that union she had her first daughter, Jacqueline Michelle Norris. Shirley later remarried and from that union she had her first son, Dewaun Marcell Bell. After which she began to work for Flint Truck & Bus, a division of General Motors Corporation where she retired. Shirley was a fun, caring, loving person and didn't take no mess. She loved being with her family and there was nothing like a Perry Party. Shirley loved cooking, playing cards and drinking beers with her brother, Richard. She also loved to dress; Shirley was always fly. She really loved spending time with her grandchildren and kids, they meant everything to her. Mrs. Shirley Jean (Perry) Norris-Bell leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Jacqueline Norris-Warren; grandchildren, Quayanna Q. Norris, Dequindre D. Norris, Terry L. Warren Jr., Onyx O. Warren, Dewaun M Bell Jr., Trevon D. Bell and Avante Bell; great-grandchildren, Talayia M Norris, Harmony Bell, Isaly Norris, Ca’saan A. Warren, Dewaun Bell III, Blessing Bell and A’majustie Warren (soon to be born); sister, Erma Collins; 2 brothers, Emerson Perry Jr. and Bobbie Joe Collins; 13 nieces; 17 nephews; special brother-in-law, Benny Bell; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Sheila Green (special sister-in-law), Johny Lacy, Shirley Mosley and card playing friend, Starry. Mrs. Norris-Bell was preceded in death by her son, Dewaun Bell Sr.; parents, Mildred Walker and Emerson Perry Sr.; sisters, Barbara Perry, JoAnn Galloway and Beverly Hamilton; brothers, Leroy Collins, Eugene Collins, Leonard “Chink” Collins and Richard Perry; nieces, Tina and Diane; nephews, Johnny and Justus; great-niece, Tabraiyah.The family would like to express special thanks to niece, Tina Walker; nephew, John Hamilton; and ex-husband, Sammie Bell Jr.
