LUCKETT, Ms. Shirley Ann - Age 60, passed away Monday, March 22, 2010 at Genesys Hospice in Goodrich, MI. Family hour 11 a.m. Monday, March 29, 2010 at New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church, 1035 E. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service commencing at 12Noon, Bishop Odis A. Floyd officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11 a.m. Monday. Ms. Luckett will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Sunday. Ms. Shirley Ann Luckett was born October 11, 1949 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Celester Lewis and Herbert Hart. Shirley was a resident of Flint, Michigan and a member of New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church. She graduated from Flint Northern High School “Class of 1967” and from Cosmetology School. Shirley was employed with General Motors/Delphi for over 33 years, retiring in 2008. She was a loving, devoted mother and grandmother. Ms. Shirley Ann Luckett leaves to cherish her memory: 2 daughters, Ayana and LaRonna Luckett; fiance', Clark Cantrell; stepchildren, Dwayne (Miranda) Cantrell and Richarde (Janelle) Reed; 2 grandchildren, Shyaire Nelson and Chazz Hamilton; 4 godchildren, Brandon, Kourtney, Whitney and Kamani; stepmother, Nina Hart, all of Flint; 2 sisters, Katherine Brown of Flint and Sheila A. (Terry) of White Lake, MI; 2 nieces, LaShay of White Lake, MI and Meghan Hart of Lansing, MI; 2 nephews, Yafeu Hart of Lake Orion, MI and Latravis of Grand Rapids, MI; 4 aunts, Mrytle Stewart, Brenda Holiday, Jackie Luckett, all of Flint and Louise McKay; uncle, John (Mary) Hart, all of Lebanon, KY; 3 special cousins, Sidney Stewart, Jeannie Mayberry and Maurice “Poochie” Stewart; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Tonya Jackson, Mary Hood, Sandra Tidwell and Mickey Bradshaw. Ms. Luckett was preceded in death by her mother, Celester Lewis; father, Herbert Hart; sister, Jane Hart; and brother, Herbert “Maurice” Hart. The family would like to express special thanks to Jeannie Mayberry, Dr. Almansour, Dr. Katato and Genesys/Hurley Cancer Institute staff and the wonderful staff at Genesys Hospice, Bishop Odis A. Floyd and the New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church family.
