Mrs. Shirley Joyce Bowen

BOWEN, Mrs. Shirley Joyce - Age 69, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017 at her residence. Family hour 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from Power of God Ministries, 1086 W. Yale Ave., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Pastor Michael Stone officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00 AM Tuesday. Mrs Bowen will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Monday. Mrs. Shirley Joyce Bowen was born March 18, 1948 to Samuel and Ethel Muldrew. She graduated from Flint Northwestern Class of 1966. She worked at Kroger store for many years and changed careers and then went on to become a Registered Nurse. She was employed by McLaren Regional Medical Center where she retired from. Shirley’s passion was sewing and she loved to do this. She was a fun loving mother, grandmother and aunt who loved to spend time with family planning events. She was always willing to help when help was needed; she was a great listener and problem solver. Most of all she enjoyed her family.
