Mrs. Shirley L. Biggers

BIGGERS, Mrs. Shirley L. - Age 79, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 at her residence. Family hour 10 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Holbrook Avenue Church of God, 1034 E. Holbrook Ave., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Rev. Leo Robinson officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy., Mt. Morris, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10 a.m. Thursday. Mrs. Biggers will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 1 p.m. - 8 p.m. Wednesday. Reverend Shirley Biggers was a resident of Romeo, Michigan for many years. She assisted her husband the Reverend Charles Biggers, as an Assistant Pastor, Sunday School Teacher, and Ministry worker. In doing so, she worked at the Montrose Community Church of God in Montrose, Michigan. Reverend Biggers also assisted in churches in Jackson, Flint, Benton Harbor, Muskegon Heights, Grand Rapids, and Romeo, Michigan. Shirley obtained her degree in Ministry and Christian Counseling from Faith Evangelistic Christian School. She loved working with Children, in which she had a passion before her marriage by working with Sister, Reverend Tucker with Boys Club and Girls Club that she formed in her own home for the neighborhood. Shirley also worked with Brother and Sister Foster with Children Ministry for years. She continued the Bible Vacation School with Romeo Church of God, by working with kids on Arts and Crafts, dancing, singing and running around, which she did so well. Shirley was well known for her sock monkeys that she gave away constantly to make people smile. Reverend Shirley Biggers leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Diana Williams of Farmington Hills, MI; 5 sons, Jacob Williams of Grand Rapids, MI, Charles and David Biggers both of Baltimore, MD, Timothy Biggers of Dayton, OH, James Biggers of Louisiana; grandchildren, DiTonya Turner, Joshua Turner, Danica Schneeweiss, Hermann Schneeweiss, Jacob Williams Jr., Timothy Biggers Jr., Christian Berry, John Berry, David Biggers, Ashlei Biggers, Caleb Biggers, Jonah Biggers, Joshua Biggers, Celena Smith, Andy Smith, Charmaine Campbell, Jalen Campbell, Michael Williams, Juan Biggers, Jada Biggers, Jasmine Biggers, James Biggers Jr., Jeremiah Biggers, Tyra Hall, and Jo; great-grandchildren, James Turner, Rosi Schneeweiss, John Berry V, Aniah Berry and Ariana Berry; nieces and nephews; Priscilla Fowler-Winston, Julie Geddie, Andre Singleton, Randy Stewart, Eugene Singleton, Kevin Singleton, Donald Fowler Jr., Eric Fowler, Jimmy Fowler, Nathaniel Fowler, Tia Fowler, Sydney Fowler, Coffe Fowler, Latisha Fowler, Rashaad Allen, Amon Allen; a host of other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; sister, Linda Fowler; brothers, Donald Fowler, Zachery Fowler, and Mickey Fowler; a host of other family and friends, too many to be named.
