WHEELER, Mrs. Sherry - Age 63, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Mission Pointe, Clarkston, MI. Family hour 10:30 AM Friday, February 11, 2022 at The Renewed Faith Church, 3350 W. Pasadena Ave., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Pastor Al Williams, Host Pastor, Pastor Kevin Galloway II, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Association, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Church 10:30 AM Friday. Mrs. Wheeler will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM Thursday.Mrs. Sherry Denise Wheeler was born March 15, 1958 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter and second child born to Ronald Sr. and Patricia Jean Cooley. Sherry graduated from Flint Southwestern High School, “Class of 1976.” She was employed at General Motors Corporation, where she dedicated 28 years of service before retiring. Sherry married her husband, Gary Wheler in 1979 and was married for 25 years. The teaching and gift of God was given to her early in life by her great grandmother. In early adulthood she dedicated her life to Christ. Sherry attended Temperance Bible College through Family Worship Center where she became an Ordained Minister. She later developed a prayer ministry known as the Summit Place. A place where faith and prayer was the focus. Sherry served in several churches and served on many committees within the congregations; including but not limited to Manna Ministries of Flint, and Family Worship Center Church International of Flint. Sherry enjoyed speaking life into each and every person she met. She was a powerful prayer warrior and a well known prophetess. Sherry enjoyed holistic health, cooking and traveling. Mrs. Sherry Denise Wheeler leaves to cherish her memory: 3 brothers, Lawrence Cooley of Flint, Guy Cooley of Arlington, TX and Ronald Cooley Jr. of Flint; 4 nieces, Christine, Charlene, Lori and Tere of Orlando, FL; 2 nephews, Steven and Brandon; former husband and dear friend to the end, Gary Wheeler; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Stephanie Moore and Janelle Peele; special niece, Tere Cooley; and special cousin, Melita Ewing. Mrs. Wheeler was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald Sr. and Patricia Jean Cooley; maternal grandparents, Marian Branch and Joseph Branch; paternal grandparents, Roosevelt and Lucille Cooley. The family would like to express special thanks to All American Home Health & Hospice Care, Mission Point of Clarkson, Pastor Al Williams of Renewed Faith Church, Pastor Kevin Galloway II, Lead Pastor of NTC Church, special nurses, Barbara, Janelle and Anita.
