NEWTON, Mrs. Sherry - Age 42, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 1:30PM Monday, March 20, 2006 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 2PM. Eld. Kenneth L. Stewart, officiating. Interment Nellum Cemetery, England, Arkansas. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home at 1:30PM Monday. Mrs. Newton will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 10AM-8PM Sunday. Mrs. Sherry Yvonne "Missy" Youngblood Newton, was born October 22, 1963 in Flint, Michigan to Ms. Earnestine Youngblood and the late Mr. Fred Weston. Sherry attended Flint Public Schools. She accepted Christ at an early age at the Bible Way Deliverance Church in Flint, Michigan. Sherry married Samuel Newton then moved to Pine Bluff, Arkansas and was employed by Maybelline in Little Rock, Arkansas. She moved back to Flint, Michigan in 2001. "Missy" enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her daughters and grandchildren. Mrs. Sherry Yvonne "Missy" Youngblood Newton leaves to cherish her memory: 3 daughters, Takeisha, Sequoya and Samantha Newton, all of England, AR; godson, Selwyn Robinson of Tucker, AR; her mother, Ms. Earnestine Youngblood of Flint; 7 sisters, Shirley Ann (Marcus) Youngblood, Pine Bluff, AR, Sophia (Walter) Youngblood, Deborah, and Marilyn Youngblood all of Flint, Carla (Dennis) Weston, Marilyn and Linda Weston; 5 brothers, Fredrick Youngblood, Wess (Ruby) Weston, Sgt. Charlie (Sandra) Weston, Kevin (Sheila) and Darnell Weston, all of Flint; 3 aunts; 1 uncle; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends, including special friends, Sammie (the father of her children) Newton, Jennifer Newton of Tucker, Arkansas, Charles, Sprinkle Me, Ponytail, Ervin Nard, all of 5th Ward and England Family. Mrs. Newton was preceded in death by her son, Deon Youngblood; daughter, Marketta Newton; father, Fred Weston; uncle; aunt; and two cousins. The family would like to express special thanks to Hurley Medical Center ER Staff and 4th Floor Staff for all they have done for the family. Also, a special thanks to the New City of Hope Church family.
