Mrs. Sherry Little

LITTLE, Mrs. Sherry - Age 59, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 30, 2015 at Riverside Tabernacle, 429 N.B. Chavez Dr., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Pastor Steve Anthony Hawkins, Sr. officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30 a.m. Monday. Mrs. Little will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sunday. Mrs. Sherry Little was born on April 8, 1956 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of John L. and Nannie Edna Lee. Sherry was a wife and mother of 4 children and 5 grandchildren. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ in 1990 at Faith Gospel Temple under the leadership of Pastor James E. Walker. She later joined El Shaddai Ministries COGIC under the leadership of Supt. Steve A. Hawkins, Sr., where she faithfully served on the usher board. She enjoyed bowling, playing dominoes, cards and cooking; she was very competitive. She instilled in her children the practice and power of prayer. Sherry enjoyed showing hospitality and loving people of all walks of life. Mrs. Sherry Little leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Robert E. Little; 3 daughters, Rachelle (Murray) Lee-Little and Robin (Kevin) Crosby, all of Flint, and Sgt. Sharice Little of Indianapolis, IN; son, Robert (Jamillah) Little, Sr.; 5 grandchildren, Robert H. Little, Jr., Zareeyah Lee-Little, Raley Little and Samiya Gilbert-Jenkins, all of Flint, and Brianna Crosby of Chicago, IL; 2 sisters, Dorothy (Jesse) Kirksey and Pamela Lee, all of Flint; 2 brothers, Michael L. Lee of Atlanta, GA and Jerome Lee of Flint; 9 nieces; 16 nephews; 2 aunts, Lina Hall and Barbara Bettis, both of Flint; uncle, Henry Love of Flint; mother-in-law, Velma Little of Linden; 2 sisters-in-law, Michelle (Bobby) Jackson and Gwendolyn Tucker, all of Linden, AL; 2 brothers-in-law, Willie (Reginda) Little of Flint and Larry Little of Linden, AL; a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Little was preceded in death by her parents, John L. Lee and Nannie Edna Lee. The family would like to express special thanks to Hurley ICU nurses and doctors, Supt. Steve A. Hawkins, Sr. and the El Shaddai Ministries COGIC Church family, Pastor Tom Mattiuzzo and the Riverside Tabernacle Church family, Rev. Dr. F.E.
