BOYLAND, Ms. Sherry - Age 53, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026 at her residence. Family hour 1:30PM, Monday, February 16, 2026, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00PM. Pastor Patrick Sanders II, officiating. Interment Gracelawn Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St., Flint, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30PM Monday. Ms. Boyland will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. and may be viewed from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Sunday. Ms. Shery Denice Boyland was born December 7, 1972, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Ida and Walter Terry. Sherry attended and graduated from Flint Beecher High School. She had a heart of gold and would always help when and where she could. Sherry enjoyed playing cards, being around family and family gatherings. She also enjoyed watching Law and Order SVU, tv games shows and listening to music. Sherry had a smile that would brighten the room and a personality that left a memorable mark. Ms. Shery Denice Boyland leaves cherish her memory: 3 daughters and 4 sons, Breanne Jefferson, Tyrone Rushin Jr., TyQuan Rushin and Shanquanise Rushin, all of Flint, Tyrice (Ny’Esha) Rushin of Dallas, TX, Anthony Bryant Jr. and Shavanna Bryant, both of Flint; 11 grandchildren, Corianna Jefferson-Montgomery, Dra’Kir Jefferson, Zakiya Jefferson, David Tucker Jr., Cayden Russell,, Karter Rushin, Laila Rushing, Jacarri Driver-Rushin, Journee Rushin, Kamora Rushin and Kamey Rushin of Dallas, TX; mother, Ida Terry; 2 brothers, Michael (Patricia) Terry and Leander (Lequisha) Greene; 5 nieces, Leshawn Terry, Sy’Mia Burns, Jayla Greene, McKayle Greene and Kenzlee Greene; 5 nephews, Michael Terry Jr., Malik Terry, Aziz Greene, JaQuise Greene and Jayden Greene; 2 aunts, Mary Boyland and Bertina Sanders; 2 uncles, Larry (Shondrea) Boyland and James Boyland; a host of other relatives and friends. Ms. Boyland was preceded in death by her grandson, King Rushin; father, Walter Terry; grandparents, Robert and Mary Boyland, Walter Sr. and Annie Terry; brother, Derrick Terry; aunts, Wilma, Katherine and Doris Boyland, Laura Brown, Elizabeth Boyd, Lucille Sneed, Ruthie Mae Dye, Emma “Jean” Terry, Thelma Terry Teamer and Esther Terry; uncle, Terry Boyland; cousins, Tanya Boyland, Antione Boyland and Lequinn Watson.
