WILLIAMS, Mrs. Sharonel L. - Age 35, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor, MI. Family hour 11am Monday, February 18, 2013 at House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church, 1851 W. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service at 12noon. Pastor Kenneth L. Stewart, officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Church 11am Monday. Mrs. Williams now lies in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12noon-6pm Sunday. Mrs. Sharonel L. Williams was born March 1, 1977 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Rondle Johnson and Stephanie Payton. Sharonel was a life-long resident of Flint; she attended Flint Community Schools, where she graduated from Flint Northern High School, “Class of 1995.” She went on to receive a Bachelor of Science Degree from Grand Valley State University in 2000, and a Master of Teaching Degree from Mary Grove University in 2012. Sharonel married her high school sweetheart, Mr. Keomie Williams in 2002. She was a member of House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Williams loved teaching and believed each and every child could learn. Sharonel started teaching at Academy of Flint and from there she taught for the Flint and Beecher Community School District. She left a lifetime impression on her co-workers and her students, Sharonel cherished them all. Sharonel and Keomie opened up Royal Elegance Bridal Shop in 2003. Her hobbies included spending time with her family and friends, shopping, traveling and spending time on Facebook. She loved to watch the Food Network Channel and Scandal. Sharonel also loved being an Event Planner, cooking and baking. She leaves to cherish her memory: high school sweetheart and husband of 19 years, Keomie Williams, 1 son, Jalane McDaniel Johnson; special daughter, Kanea Darrough; special dog, Ms. Candi Williams; mother, Stephanie Payton; grandmothers, Patsy Payton and Rebecca Johnson; sisters, Cypress Collins, Candra, Corie and Kiya Johnson; nieces, Tanyelle and Bianca Nunn; aunts, Karen, Christine and Linda Johnson, Gail (Carl) Fuqua, Janice Bradley and special aunt, Frances “Aunt Frannie” Miller; uncles, David Miller, Arthur Miller, James (Sharon) Johnson, Marvin (Cynthia) Johnson and Carl Johnson; a host of cousins including special cousin, Sharnessa; mother and father-in-law, Yolanda Williams and Kenneth R. Matthews; sisters-in-law, Frances Ivory, Elwanda (James) Ray and Jenelle Matthews; brother-in-law, Mitchell Ivory; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Minister LaTesa Calloway, Donnetta Moore, Ciseley Armstrong, Yolanda Owens, Barbara A. Harvey and her GVSU roommates. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her father, Rondle Johnson; grandfather, James Payton; uncle, Brian Johnson; niece, Keyaira Ivory and dog, Brandy Williams.
