MILLER-ALEXANDER, Mrs. Sharon K. - Age 73, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 1:30 PM, Saturday, January 23, 2021 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Chapel 1:30 PM Saturday. Mrs. Alexander will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM Friday. Sharon Kay Miller – Alexander was the eldest daughter born April 12, 1947 to the late Flossie and James Miller. The first child of fifteen, where her brothers Michael Shumpert, Rodney Miller, Brian Miller and sister Patricia Ann Glaster- Player proceed her in death. Kindhearted with great strength and courage, Sharon graduated from Flint Northern High School. After graduation, Sharon pursued one of her dreams, attended / graduated from the Empire School of Cosmetology (Flint, MI) which allowed her to become an entrepreneur. Setting her dreams higher, Sharon was later employed by General Motors (Administration) where she was a dedicated worker and retired with full benefits. Sharon met and married Alphonzo Stewart, Sr. where her son Alphonzo, Jr. was born to that union and preceded her in death. The Love of her Life, Sydney Alexander and Sharon were married (a powerful couple) and to this union Lyndsey Alexander was born. Sharon was a devoted follower of the teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and was acknowledged by Mosque Number 1- Detroit, Michigan and was recognized and authorized by…Melchisedek Shabazz- Allah, The Universal High Priest of the Nation of Islam on Earth and in the Universe having no mother, no father, no descent, ... Mosque #7 Brooklyn, New York as Sister Sharon Miller Alexander Shabazz. Sharon was an avid reader and enjoyed the Holy Bible, The Quran, The Final Call, Listening to the Quartets (William Brothers), Fashions and Cooking. She enjoyed reminiscing and laughing of pleasurable pastimes with family and friends. The family Matriarch is loved will be truly missed. On January 10, 2021 (Hurley Medical Center – FLINT, MI), God choose and picked a beautiful precious flower to be in his Garden. Sharon Kay Miller Alexander is survived by her loving and devoted son, Lyndsey ( Toneica) ; Granddaughter Shaniqua ( Peaches ) Lee; Grandson Montrell Moore and Alphonzo Stewart ( Flint, MI); Great Grandchildren Jerolus Jr., Anylah Marve, ( Flint, MI) , Keemaari Moore, Montrell Moore, Jr., Ermiya Bowser and Alyric Jones; Brothers – Larry Miller ( Denola ), James Miller ( Flint, MI), Demetrius Morris ( Detriot, MI ) ; Troy Muhammad ( Redford, MI) , Robert Miller,( Flint, MI); Sisters – Gail Miller – Elston ( Bethesda, MD), Zandra Jordan Shabazz ( Mt. Morris, MI ), Shantel McWIlliams ( Leslie) , Sherri Miller, Dematrice Miller ( Flint, MI) and a Sista/ Friend for life Jeanne ( Shelia ) Powell ( Flint, MI) ; two sister- in laws, Holly Shumpert ( Flint, MI);Debra Miller(CA); paternal Uncle Collin Miller ( Flint, MI) ( Flint , MI) : Paternal Aunt Cora Miller( Earle, AK); God- daughter Tamika Frierson; two very special friends, Eartha Perkins and Joseph Ford; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
