GIBBS, Ms. Sharon Ann - Age 66, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023, at her residence. Family hour 10:00 AM Friday, September 15, 2023, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral services commencing at 11:00 AM Pastor Harold Jones Sr., officiating. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, G-4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 AM Friday. Mrs. Gibbs will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed during the family hour only. Missionary Sharon Ann Gibbs was born October 10, 1956 in Flint, Michigan, the youngest daughter of Grady and Mildred Givens. Sharon was called to eternal rest on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at the age of 66 years old, with her family by her side. She was a graduate of Flint Northwestern High School, “Class of 1975.” After graduation, she attended and graduated from Hurley School of Radiological Technology. Her hobbies included fishing, listening to music, going to church, shopping and spending time with family and friends. Missionary Sharon Ann Gibbs leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Danielle R. Gibbs; son, Danny R. Gibbs Jr., both of Flint; daughter-in-law, Latanya Gibbs; 7 grandchildren, Santa and Santorie Jenkins, Barryontae Harris, all of Flint, Danny III, Dannia, Danniea and Dannika Gibbs, all of Murfreesboro, TN; sister, Denise (Givens) Blade of Mt. Morris, MI; brother, Jerome D. Givens of Flint; uncle, Raymond Wilson of Flint; sisters-in-law, Betty (Daniel) Baxter and Lois Gibbs; honorary sister-in-law, Connie Wanley, all of Flint; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends too many to mention in her life. Missionary Gibbs was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Danny R. Gibbs Sr.; parents, Grady and Mildred Givens; brother, Grady Gibbs Jr.; sister, Lenora Byrd; in-laws, Foster and John Gibbs; 3 brothers-in-law, Bobby Blade Sr., Ricky Gibbs and Sammy Gibbs. The family would like to express special thanks to Greater Ephesians COGIC, Felicia Chandler, First Hospice Care staff, Shirley Noyes, Jerry Chaney, Emma Walker and all other friends and family including special cousin, Vanessa Morris.
