FLEMING, Ms. Sharon Sue - Age 74, passed away Friday, April 18, 2025 at her residence. Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd., Flint, MI 48504. There will be No Public Viewing. Sharon Sue Fleming, beloved daughter, friend, and cherished soul, departed this life peacefully on Friday, April 18, 2025, at the age of 74. Sharon was born on September 25, 1950, in Columbia, Tennessee, she moved to Flint, Michigan with her mother at a very young age. Sharon was a proud graduate of Flint Northern High School, “Class of 1968.” She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and carried her faith as a guiding light throughout her life. Sharon loved life and embraced it fully. She had a passion for jazz, attending concerts, exploring special cuisines, traveling, and indulging in online shopping sprees for the latest finds. Sharon especially loved spending time with friends and family, sharing laughter, stories, and unforgettable moments. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her beloved mother “Gert”, especially in the year before her mother’s passing last year. After over 20 years of dedicated service, Sharon retired from Genesee Packaging in June 2024. Known for her work ethic, feisty spirit, and kindness, Sharon made a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of working with her. Friends and family will always remember Sharon’s bold personality and warm heart. Ms. Sharon Sue Fleming leaves to cherish her memory: 2 loving aunts, Mildred Alderson of Nashville, TN, and Piney Fleming of Columbia, TN; devoted cousins, Gordon Kent Alderson and Vali Lynette Spencer. She also leaves to cherish a host of cousins, extended family, and countless friends. Among them, her cherished circle of close friends, Linda Stovall, Ernestine Williams-Barnett, RuTonya Riley and Kimberly Rushing who were like family to her and will miss her deeply. Ms. Fleming is preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Ermon Gertrude Hutcherson; grandparents; uncle, Howard Fleming; aunts, Eula M. Dooley, Francine Frierson, and Lula B. Meredith. Sharon was a loving, kind, and thoughtful person who always showed up for others. Her presence brought joy, and her absence leaves a deep void. Though she succumbed to illness, her spirit remains with us—strong, joyful, and full of grace. She will truly be missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
