Mrs. Sharon Ann Coley

Sharon A. Coley of Flint, MI age 59, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014 at McLaren Hospital in Flint. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1805 Lapeer Rd., Flint Twp., MI 48503. Sharon Attended Northwestern High in Flint, MI. She worked as a nurse’s aid and homemaker. Her children and grandchildren had a special place in her heart. She was a loving, kind and supportive friend to all. Mrs. Sharon Ann Coley was born September 23, 1954 in Muskegon, Michigan, the daughter of Leroy and Elizabeth Mitchell. On June 22, 1973, she was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She loved her God Jehovah and enjoyed discovering and sharing the deep truths found in the Bible. In 1971, she married and from this union, Racquel, Stephanie and Joel were born. She remarried on March 4, 1995 to James Coley. Sharon attended Northwestern High School in Flint, Michigan. She worked as a Nurse’s Aide and a Homemaker. She loved gardening, baking and singing. Her children and grandchildren had a special place in her heart and she shared a special bond with her sister Vivian Boyd. Sharon had an infectious laugh and a great sense of humor. She was a loving, kind and supportive friend to all. Mrs. Sharon Ann Coley leaves to cherish her memory: husband, James Coley of Flint; 2 daughters, Racquel (Eric) Britt of Arlington, TX and Stephanie (Timothy) Greene of Lathrup Village, MI; son, Joel (Maria) Ford of Pontiac, MI; 4 step-children, Leslie Hall, Marlena (Jamal) Abdul, James and Karmen Coley; grandchildren, Amiah and Braylan Britt, Khristina Hall, Jamal, Jae and Jocelynne Abdul, Olivia and Jackson Coley; parents, Leroy and Elizabeth Mitchell; 4 sisters, Vivian (Ronald) Boyd, Jennifer Johnson, Gail Patterson and Shawn (Jerry) Townsend; 4 brothers, Gary (Sheila) Mitchell, Myron (Melissa) Mitchell, Michael Mitchell and Barry (Monicca) Mitchell; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; 5 aunts, Louise Lee, Dorothy Watson, Josie Peterson, Jean Paschal, Vera (Roy) Phillips; 2 uncles, Roosevelt Mitchell, Arden (Jean) Paschal; mother and father-in-law, Willease Coley and Tollie Johnson; 9 sisters-in-law; 11 brothers-in-law; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends Geneva Presnall, Jewel Boykin, Karen Cooper and Mary and Michael Lane. Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, Chad Mitchell, grandparents, Murphy and Willie May Paschal, Moses and Joanna Mitchell, aunts, Clara, Murt, Fannie, Vernell, Rebecca, Augusta and Delores; uncles, Ledell Watson and Pierce Jr., and cousin, Paula Watson.
