Mrs. Sharayal Annette Johnson

JOHNSON, Mrs. Sharayal - Age 70, passed away Friday, May 13, 2022 at her residence. Family hour 10:00 AM Saturday, May 21, 2022 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 Am Pastor Christopher Taylor, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 AM Saturday. Mrs. Johnson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home during family hour only. Mrs. Sharayal Annette (Smalley) Johnson was born November 23, 1951 in Bainbridge, Georgia, the daughter of Cleveland D. and Geneva M. Smalley. Sharayal graduated from Flint Southwestern High School, home of the Colts. She confessed hope in Christ and was baptized at a early age. Sharayal then united with Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and was devoted to her Christian faith and didn’t forsake to assemble. Her work in church was very important. Sharayal served as a Greeter and Usher. She moved to Flint, Michigan in 1962. Sharayal graduated as a CNA. She was employed at MTA and enjoyed politics. Sharayal loved going on cruises and traveling to see her grandkids. She also loved shopping, decorating her house, working in her yard, exercise and her cars. Sharayal retired from General Motors Corporation. Mrs. Sharayal Annette Johnson leaves to cherish her memory: son, Gregory (Monica) Smalley Sr. of Grand Blanc, MI; grandchildren, Gregory Smalley Jr., Deven Smalley, Zareah Phelps, Courtney Lewis, and Corea Lewis; great-grandson, Cai; god-daughters, Carmen Craig and Angelic Rush; 2 sisters, Edna Smalley and Gwedlyn (Jasper) Brown, both of Georgia; brother, Fread Hasson of Arizona; 10 nieces; 8 nephews including special nephew, Chris (Kara) Smalley; aunt, Vera Thomas; a host of cousins, other relatives and special friends, Amenea, Desiree, Daa’iyah, Hilda Craig, Sandra Vone, Mira, Barbara Wilitts, Barbara Armstrong, Nadia, Pat Thomas, Velma Johnson, Janice, Delores Rush, Derrick and Reggie Smalley, and Kimberly Brown.Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Smalley; niece, Sekeala Wade; brother, Cleveland D. Smalley Jr.; aunts, Josie A. Shin Edwards and Contrina Smalley.
