DELONEY, Mr. Sean Dean – Age 47, passed away, Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Community Hospital – North of Indianapolis, IN. Family hour 11:00 AM Saturday, September 21, 2024 at First Union Baptist Church, 7004 Fleming Rd., with funeral service commencing at 12:00 PM. Pastor Jesse McIntosh, Eulogist. Pastor Danny Green, Host Pastor. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, G-4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11:00 AM Saturday. Mr. Deloney will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday with family present from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM to receive friends. Mr. Sean Dean Deloney was born August 6, 1977, in Flint, MI. to Joanne Deloney. Sean, a current resident of Indianapolis, IN departed this life on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis with his loving family by his side. Knowing Sean, you know he always kept a positive mindset in everything pertaining to life, always looking at the glass half full instead of half empty. Even till the end, he never asked “why me?” Known to his friends as “S. Dot”, Sean was the life of the party with his charisma, humor, and wittiness. He had an infectious smile that would light up any room and his big personality and jokes left a mark on anyone he met, and he never failed to let you know that he was “just happy to be here!” His presence in any room was truly unforgettable. Sean grew up as a member of First Union Baptist Church in Flint, MI. Since relocating to Indianapolis, Sean became a member of Light of the World Christian Church (LWCC), where he served on the Men’s Ministry. Sean was a 1995 graduate of Hamady High School in Flint, MI, after which, he proudly served as a member of The United States Navy from 1996-2000, where he received the Navy Achievement Medal. Since 2001, Sean has been a dedicated Technician with AT&T, in addition to most recently becoming a Licensed Realtor with Keller Williams, for the last 2 years. Sean was a fun, caring and loving husband, father, brother, son and friend who truly embodied what it meant to care for his family and be there for them and others when it mattered. He was always planning some type of family adventure (road trip) to an unknown place. Often his family didn’t know where they were going to end up (which made them nervous…lol), but they had the greatest time when they got there. He also enjoyed being on the golf course with his golf league, tailgating at Colts games, and “glamping” in his RV. Sean had a real love for music and he made sure it filled his home. Whether it be family karaoke, or the household being awakened to music blasting from the TV every weekend, music was incorporated in everything he did. He loved his 90’s R&B and Hip Hop. Family and friends crowned Sean as “King of the Grill” since he loved spending quality time on the grill and in the kitchen. He also made a mean seafood broil. The neighborhood kids always knew the right time to come over to the house. Sean’s children were truly his life. They each shared a special bond with him, and he wore “proud father” as a badge of honor. One of his greatest moments is when he became a grandpa and affectionately called himself, Sean Jr., and Machi the “3D boys.” They all knew they were loved! Mr. Sean Dean Deloney leaves in God’s care: wife, April Deloney; 3 daughters, Shakiya, Olivia and Sydnee Deloney; son, Sean Deloney Jr; bonus son, Victor Moorer Jr; grandson, Machi Lee Deloney; mother, Joanne Deloney; sister, Regina Palmer; brothers, Manus Palmer and Jason (Nikki) Deloney; mother-in-law, LaVonne Harden; sister-in-law, Tiffany Harden; brother-in-law, Jermaine Harden; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Sean was loved by many and had a long history with his circle of friends, honestly too many to name. However, we pray each of you know how near and dear you were to his heart. Sean was preceded in death by his grandparents, I.I and Edna Thomason.
