WALKER, Mr. Satavius Jaron - Age 34, passed away Monday, September 5, 2022. Family hour 10:30 AM Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral services commencing at 11:00 AM. Rev. Daniel Bridges, officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the Chapel 10:30 AM Wednesday. Mr. Walker will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM 6:00 PM Tuesday. Mr. Satavius Jaron Walker “Tay”, age 34 was born March 16, 1988 in Flint, Michigan, the son of George “Curt” Brown and Selina Renee Releford. Tay attended Flint Public Schools, graduating from Flint Northern High School, “Class of 2006.”. He also attended Mott Community College and Boston State University majoring in Accounting. While in Boston, MA he gained employment with United Parcel Service (UPS). Tay began missing home, his son and family. So he decided to come back to Flint. Upon his return he gained employment with Burkland, Inc. in Goodrich, MI. Satavius was a member of First Union Baptist Church. He loved being with his son, Lil Tay and his only nephew, Lil Dee. Satavius also loved being with family, especially his granny, Vera “Granny Jean”, and his only brother, Deondric. He was always joking around and talking junk with his cousins and friends. Mr. Satavius Jaron Walker “Tay” leaves to cherish his memory: beloved son, Satavius Jaron Walker Jr.; mother, Selina R. Releford; father, George “Curt” (Kiana) Brown; grandmother, Vera Styles; brother, Deondric Ellis; step-sisters, Destiny and Kaelyn; 5 aunts, Deborah Smith, Jaqueline (Pete) Perry, Patricia (Kenneth) Brown-May, Lynette Brown and RoNisha Brown; 4 uncles, Jimmy Darryl Walker of Boston, MA, Gary Walker, Donell (Sharon) Harvey, and NaKailyus (JaQuonda) Brown; special cousin, Darwin Cox; special friend and mother of his son, Megan Patterson; friends, Frank Smith III, Jordan Sawyer, Chelsey Jackson, Shalonda Tolliver and Yolanda Lewis; a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his grandparents, George C. Sr. and Rachel Brown; grandfather, Jimmie Lee Walker; great-grandmother, Annie Marie Key; great-grandfather, Lawson Key; cousins, DeCarlo Key and George B. Brown; and many other relatives.
