Mrs. Sarah Lee Howard

HOWARD, Mrs. Sarah Lee - Age 87, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023, at her residence. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 25, 2023, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 11:00 AM Saturday. There will be no public viewing. Sarah Lee Howard was born November 4, 1935 in Dallas County, Alabama, the daughter of Jordan and Leola Hatcher. She attended public schools in Alabama until the family moved to Omaha, Nebraska where she graduated from Omaha Central High School. In 1969, she moved her family to Flint, Michigan to be closer to her sister, Dorothy (deceased). Sarah worked for Fisher Body, a division of General Motors Corporation until her retirement. To say she was an avid sports lover would be an understatement. Softball was her favorite sport. She played many years of fast-pitch softball with Julie’s Pawn Shop, & Luster’s Grocery Store. Sarah was one if not the best ‘Women’ fast-pitch pitchers in Michigan. She loved throwing the football with the neighborhood boys (and could throw it). Sarah loved to cook (her fried chicken was off the chain). You could always expect a phone call from Sarah, birthdays and holidays, or just to say “hey, just checking on you!” She loved to dance. Ms. Sarah Lee Howard leaves to cherish her beautiful memory: 3 children, Deborah A. Howard of Grand Blanc, MI, Dana R. Howard of Flint and Kevin L. Howard of Burton, MI; 5 grandchildren, SPC Willie J. Jamerson of San Antonio, TX, Demetrius D Jamerson of Swartz Creek, MI, Dana J. Price Sr. of Knoxville, TN, Brianna R. Howard, Kanesha L. Howard, both of San Antonio, TX; 4 great-grandchildren, Arheanna R. Howard of San Antonio, TX, Dana J. Price Jr., Jaquan C. Price, and Luca X. Storch, all of Knoxville, TN; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, extended family (you know who you are); brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Evelyn Johnson; sister-in-luv, Thelma Johnson; special friends, Mary Lee of Los Angeles, CA, Lonnie McIntosh, Delois Lee, Barabera Collins (best friend), all of Omaha, NB, Iris Hare and Deanna Davis, both of Flint; special cousins whom she talk to on a regular basis, Carol J. Foster of San Antonio, TX, Jerry D. Wynne of Omaha, NB, Pankie D. Harris of Birmingham, AL and Mary Powell of Chicago, IL; special daughter-in-luv, SPC-E7 Ruthel R. Howard of San Antonio, TX. Ms. Howard was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-luv, Dorothy and TJ Johnson; parents, Jessie and Leola Foster; biological father, Jordan Hatcher; sisters-in-luv, Annie Arps and Gladys Johnson; brother-in-luv, Carl Johnson Jr.; special nephew, SSG Palmer R.
