Mrs. Santoya Wilson-Roberson

WILSON-ROBERSON, Mrs. Santoya - Age 40, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023, at her residence. Family hour 11:00 AM Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Adams Memorial Guiding Light C.O.G.I.C., 5230 Detroit St., with funeral service commencing at 12:00 PM. Family and friends will assemble at the church 11:00 AM. Mrs. Wilson-Roberson will be viewed during the family hour only. Ms. Santoya Vushun Wilson-Roberson was born May 9, 1983 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Patricia Ann Garner and Llewellyn Benard Wilson Sr. Santoya received Christ at New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church. She graduated from Davenport Education Center in 2001. Santoya was a great mother. She loved spending time with her kids. Santoya also loved working in the health care field, playing Bingo and traveling. She was a joy to be around and loved everyone. Ms. Santoya Vushun Wilson-Roberson leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Billy Roberson Sr.; 6 children, Antonio Riviera Powell Jr., Teriaunah Jatwana Ellis, Ba’Ley Alexandria Roberson, Giovanni Joy Roberson, Billy Roberson Jr. and Alexander Roberson, all of Lansing, MI; parents, Patricia Ann (Jason) Garner of Flint and Llewellyn Benard (Ernestine) Wilson Sr. of Lansing, MI; grandmother, Dora Lee Williams; 5 sisters, Sarah Simmons, Tajana James, China (Alonzo) Williams and Jasonya Garner, all of Flint and Llewanda James of Lansing, MI, ; 7 brothers, Martez Ashe, Lorenzo Simmons Jr., Jacolby Simmons, Antonio Simmons, Patrick (Kristina) Simmons all of Flint, Llewellyn Wilson Jr. of Texas and Ernest Wilson of Atlanta, GA; 2 step-brothers, Darius Litzsey and Jason Garner Jr., both of Huntsville, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles; mother-in-law, Christine Young; a host of other relatives and friends. Ms. Wilson-Roberson was preceded in death by her grandmother, Darlene Delores Wilson; grandfathers, Buford Wilson Sr. and Turner Ashe; aunt, Cabretta Anita Wilson; uncles, Stanly Wilson, Buford Wilson, Gregory Ashe and Leroy Wilson Sr.; cousins, Raymond Skelton III, Demarcus Graham, Burford Wilson III and Corey Wilson; father-in-law, Alexander Roberson Sr. The family would like to express special thanks to The Cancer Center of Lansing, MI, Sparrow Hospital, Dr. Thomas, nurses, Sharon and Neal at Sparrow Cancer Center.
