TIDWELL, Mrs. Sandra (Bradshaw) - Age 56, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at her residence. Family hour 11 a.m. Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Greater Galilee Baptist Church, 4418 Industrial Ave., with funeral service commencing at 12Noon. Pastor Latrelle Holmes officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11 a.m. Thursday. Mrs. Tidwell will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8 p.m. Wednesday. Mrs. Sandra J. Bradshaw-Tidwell “San” was born August 24, 1955 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Harold and Sylvia Bradshaw. Sandra was a lifelong resident of Flint, attending Flint Public Schools, graduating from Flint Northern High School, “Class of 1973”. She was employed by Hurley Medical Center, Nutrition Services Dept. (Cashier). Sandra was a member of Local Union 1603, retiring after 32 years of service. She loved laughing and sharing jokes with family and friends. Sandra was a member of Greater Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Latrelle W. Holmes, Sr. Mrs. Sandra J. Bradshaw-Tidwell leaves to cherish her memory: spouse, Henry Tidwell; daughter, DeQuela Tidwell; son, Darus Tidwell (Deanna); step-son, Terance McCaw; 2 grandchildren, Terence Grear, Jr. and Dashia McCaw-Lanehart; 2 great-grandchildren; godmother, Fannie Marshall-Barfield; 3 sisters, Emma (Arnold) Ivory, Betty (L. T.) Barber and Debra Sanders; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; 4 sisters-in-law, Willie Gatlin and Estelle Tidwell, both of Arkadelphia, AR, Louise Jones of Chicago, IL and Priscilla (Emanuel) Hale of Okolona, AR; 4 brothers-in-law, L. T. Tidwell, Donald (Tina) Tidwell, both of Flint and Wylie (Betty) Tidwell, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA; many special friends. Mrs. Bradshaw-Tidwell was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Sylvia Bradshaw; 3 brothers, Mickey, Jerry “Buster” and William; sister, Linda Gail; grandmother, Lizzie Mack and mother-in-law, Christine Tidwell. The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor Latrelle Holmes and First Lady Holmes, the Greater Galilee Missionary Baptist Church Family, Staff at Great Lakes Cancer Center, American Home Health & Hospice, McLaren Regional Medical Center Staff, Medical Oncology and Radiation Staff, Caregivers and especially her son, Darus Tidwell.
