BUNTON-CALLOWAY, Mrs. Sandra Faye - Age 48, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2007 at her residence. Family hour Thursday, April 12, 2007 4PM-6PM from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. Family hour 10AM Friday, April 13, 2007 at House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church, 1851 W. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11AM. Rev. Sylvester Miller, III, officiating. Rev. Kenneth L. Stewart, Pastor. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10AM Friday. Mrs. Bunton-Calloway will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home. There will be no Public Viewing. Mrs. Sandra Faye Bunton-Calloway was born on September 6, 1958 in Proctor, Arkansas, the daughter of Charles and Lois Bunton. Sandra moved to Flint at the age of five. She graduated from Flint Northern "Class of 1975". She attended Michigan State University, and then later became employed with Delphi, a division of General Motors, retiring after 30 years of service in March of 2007. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church where she was a good and faithful servant. Serving on numerous committees, she was known for "always getting the job done." She was a devoted member of the Flint Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. where she served as Secretary, Vice-President, President and currently held the position of Vice-President. She was also a dedicated mentor for the Helping One Student To Succeed (H.O.S.T.S.) program. Sandra was a member of Quinn Chapel AME Church Debutante Cotillion Committee. She was also a member of the UAW Local 651. Words can never define her dedication to motherhood; Phylicia and Khaleah were her world. Her life revolved around her girls, and she made sure that was understood. Sandra's home going will leave a void that can never be filled. Her memory will be cherished forever and she will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. She leaves to cherish her loving memory: devoted husband, William "Billy" Calloway, Jr.; 2 daughters, Phylicia and Khaleah Calloway; loving mother, Lois Bunton; sister, Karen Bunton; 2 brothers, Wayne G. Bunton of FL, and Herb A. Bunton of MD; brother-in-law, Donald (Edna) Talbert of Mt. Morris; special nephew, Jerron Dupree of Flint; a host of other nephews and nieces including, Quinten Moss of Flint; aunts, uncles, cousins too many to name and special friend, Geraldine Coleman. Sandra was preceded in death by her loving father, Charles Wayne Bunton; father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William and Vivian Calloway, Sr.
