HART, Mr. Samuel Maurice - Age 46, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Providence Hospital- Southfield, MI. Family hour 10:30 AM Thursday, April 2, 2020 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Pastor Kenneth L. Stewart, officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 AM Thursday. Mr. Hart will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Wednesday. Mr. Samuel Maurice Hart was born January 27, 1974 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Maurice and Iris Hart. He was known by many names by those who loved him, such as “Marcus”, “Pete”, “Freddie”, “Sam”, “Grand High” and “Big Dude”. Marcus lived in Buckhead, GA and attended Brookhaven Baptist Church. He graduated from Flint Northwestern High School, “Class of 1993.” Marcus was employed at Building Cleaning Service (BCS) where he did maintenance work. He was great at painting houses and was a sneakerhead, especially for Jordan’s. Marcus loved Barbecuing and watching sports and fishing (his favorite fish to catch and chase after were “Crappie”). He also loved spending time with his loved ones. Marcus had a laugh that was contagious. He never met a stranger. Marcus was a gentle giant, a very kind and humble man. He had a heart of gold and would do for anyone. Let’s not forget Marcus could get clean when it was time to get dressed up. One interaction with him and you would never forget him. Mr. Samuel Maurice Hart leaves to cherish his memory: daughter whom he loved so much, Kennedy “Nook” Anderson; parents, Maurice and Iris Hart; grandmother, Leotha Scroggins, all of Flint; sister, Shareka Hart of Auburn Hills, MI; 2 brothers, Montaque Hart of Burton, MI and Corey Hart of Flint; niece, Siri Haynie of Auburn Hills MI; nephew, Montaque Hart Jr.; 6 aunts, Edwina Williams of Riviera, FL, Daisy Butler of Mt. Morris, MI, Patricia (Jonathan) Moses of Fint, Mary Coley of Mt. Morris, MI, Jennie Cooper, Joann Cooper, both of Flint and Riley Cooper of Albany, GA; 2 uncles, Frank “Frankie” Cooper of Patterson, NJ and Martin (Jennifer) Cooper of Jacksonville, FL; girlfriend and mother of his child, Jacqueline Anderson of Buckhead, GA; bonus children, Antonise “Twin” Lewis, Jasmine “Baby Jazz” Patton Svanna, Elijah “Baby Boy” Lewis, bonus grandson, Kymani “Money Man” Holt; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Darien “D” Character, Jessica Moore, Barry Faulkner and Quinton. Mr. Hart was preceded in death by his grandparents, Martin and Wilmotine Cooper; grandfathers, John Scroggins and William Charles Hart; aunts, Claretha Cooper and Diane Cooper; uncles, Charles Cooper, Arey Cooper, Edward “EC” Cooper and Ronald Hart; cousin, Eric Cooper; god-brother, Keno Huddleston.
