TERRY-DYE, Mrs. Ruthie Mai - Age 62, passed Friday, March 2, 2007 at Brian's House. Family hour 6PM-7:30PM Friday, March 9, 2007 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint, Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM Saturday, March 10, 2007 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home. Pastor Eric Bogan officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 11AM Saturday. Mrs. Terry-Dye will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Friday. Mrs. Ruthie "Ruth" Mai Terry Dye was born January 11, 1944, to the late Walter and Annie (Burrell) Terry, in Stanton, Tennessee. She attended Mason Tennessee and graduated from Gailord High School. Ruth started her Christian journey at St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church in Stanton, TN and later moved to Flint, MI. She united with the New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church where she served on the Senior Usher Board. Ruth retired from Cadillac Motors (Local #1292) in Grand Blanc. On May 6, 1965, Ruth united in Holy Matrimony to Sidney Louis "Jake" Dye. She leaves to cherish her memory: 2 sons, David (Dawn) Dye of Clearwater, FL, and Macy Dye of Flint; daughter, Lisa Thomas of Flint; 9 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Bertha (Victor) Parham of Millington, TN, Thelma "Terry" Teamer and Ester Terry both of Flint; brother, Eddie (Minnie) Burchett of Memphis, TN; 3 aunts; 1 great-uncle; 5 sisters-in-law; 7 brothers-in-law; adopted daughter, Sharon (Giggles) Wynn. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Louis Dye; parents; son-in-law, Jeffrey Thomas; 4 sisters, Elizabeth Boyd, Lucille Sneed, Jean Chaney, and Laura Brown; 1 brother, Walter Terry, Jr.; 1 niece; 1 nephew; grandparents. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Vikram Bathula, McLaren Hospice staff, caregivers, Jaina, Shayla and Amy, the Breakfast Club, Harris Memorial C.O.G.I.C., House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church and New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church.
