TAYLOR, Ms. Ruby Jean - age 64, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014 at Select Specialty Hospital-Macomb, MI. Family hour 10 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2014 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Interment Sunset Hills Association, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10 a.m. Saturday. Ms. Taylor will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12 p.m.-8 p.m. Friday, with the family present from 5 p.m.-6 p.m. Ms. Ruby Jean Taylor was born August 8, 1949 in Magnolia, Arkansas, the daughter of E.W. and Mary Lee Taylor. Ruby was a graduate of Flint Northwestern High School, “Class of 1967.” She was employed by Miller Inn for several years. After that she began her career with Flint Truck and Bus Assembly Plant, a division of General Motors and retired after 32 years of service. Ruby was the very proud mother of her son, Corey. She was a loving mother and a wonderful cook. Ruby and her sister Jeanette, often along with their sons, got together to cook, eat and fellowship on special occasions and any occasion. Ms. Ruby Jean Taylor leaves to cherish her memory; son Corey Dante´ (Sonya) Taylor; 6 grandchildren, Keoshiana Taylor of Jonesboro, AR, Eddie Washington, Mar´Quarious Taylor, Casey Hatchett, Tyreanna Perkins, Chancellor Taylor, all of Flint; 3 great-grandchildren, Tyler Washington, Eddie Washington, Jr., Eden Taylor all of Flint; mother, Mary Lee Johnson of Magnolia, AR; step-mothers, Geneva Presswood and Shirley Taylor both of Flint; 4 sisters, Jeanette Johnson of Flint, Debra A. Washington of Little Rock, AR, Christina Taylor of Horn Lake, MS, Olivia Johnson of Waldo, AR; 5 brothers, Carl E. (Judy) Johnson of Magnolia, AR, Terry L. Strong of Nash, TX, Elax (Xavier) Taylor, Percy (Brenda) Anderson both of Flint and L.V. Johnson of Phoenix, AZ; 4 nieces, Rachel L. and Teresa Strong, Rania Taylor, Jada Taylor; 10 nephews, Kelly (Nicole) Holly, Brian (LaTosha) Johnson, Stefan (Cherrie) Ross, Michael and Brandon Johnson, Sean D.
