Roy Denson

DENSON, Mr. Roy Noble - Age 57, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Foss Avenue Baptist Church, 1159 E. Foss Ave., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m., Pastor Reginald Flynn, D.Min, officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Mr. Denson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 1-8 p.m. Monday. Mr. Roy N. Denson was born May 12, 1953 in Jackson, Mississippi, the son of Robert and Christine Denson. Roy was granted his Angel Wings on August 17, 2010. He moved from Morton, Mississippi to Flint, Michigan, where he attended Flint Northwestern High School, after high school, he attended Tennessee State University. Roy was employed by General Motors for many years. He was a peaceful, loving, generous soul who adored his grandkids and enjoyed life. Mr. Roy N. Denson leaves to cherish his memory: 2 daughters, Rhadonna Denson-Stovall and Robyn Denson, both of Lafayette, IN; 3 sons, Roy Denson, Jr. of Flint, Broderick (Chris) Kincaid of Fontana, CA and Kendrick Denson of Lafayette, IN; grandchildren, Dyaneka and Tamia Stovall, Makiyah Denson-Kincaid, Lauren and Larenzo Denson, all of Lafayette, IN, Kendrick and Kayana Kincaid, both of Fontana, CA, Xavier and Broderick Kincaid, both of Las Vegas, NV, mother, Christine Denson of Flint; 2 nieces, Crystal and Tiffany Cole; 2 great nieces; nephew, Robert (Keana) Smith; 2 great-nephews; 3 aunts, JoLucille Bell and Nita (Milton) Bland, all of Chicago, IL and Bertha Denson of Flint; 5 uncles, John Kennedy of Brandon, MS, Moses and Willie Earl Denson, both of Flint, Will Kincaid of Chicago, IL and Frank Lee (Claudia) Denson of Detroit, MI; a host cousins, the Densons, Watsons, McCarristons and Fisher families. Mr. Denson was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Betty Diane Kincaid-Denson; father, Robert Denson; grandparents, Lula Mae Bell, Pete Kennedy, Frank and Laura Denson; sister, Robie D. Cole and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
